Has anyone made any announcements regarding the availability of the tickets for this year's draft? Does anyone know how to get a hold of those tickets?
NFL Draft Schedule and Tickets For those of you thinking about attending the NFL Draft in person, the NFL has finally released information on how to obtain tickets to this year's event. As in the past, tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the box office on the day of the draft. However, local ordinances prohibit lining up on the sidewalks directly in front of or around Radio City Music Hall. Fans may line up on the morning of the NFL Draft at the direction of Radio City personnel. found on web for you
That's what I thought. I used to work next door to Radio City Music Hall in '06 and was trying to make plans when the Jets chose D'Brick. Never went, but I remember someone told me that it was first-come-first-served so get there early.
Show up before 6 AM, and then you will get a ticket, then you wait around for a long time... then the draft begins.... If you stay for all of day 2, then they will give you tickets to next years draft automatically.
I though last year you had to fall in line in the morning several days before the draft. At least that's what I remembered.
no I dont think so why would someone line up at 6:00 am for a 3:00 event maybe like 12 or 1 but I dont think that long
I'm never doing it again- I did it last year and I realize I like it better from my couch I got there at 2:00 AM, waited in line till 6. I was lucky because I thought I was in the middle of the line; it turned out what I thought was the middle was actually the front. Got my tickets, chilled at other places in the city until 10:00 then went back to Radio City. I got to sit behind Jamarcus Russell's family and in front of Calvin Johnson's. I talked to a couple of PrimeTime's buddies who were sitting next to me. At 9:00 PM I was tired and Round 1 wasn't even finished. My friend and I said screw this and bounced
This year it will be better because the day is cut to 2 rounds and they are 10 and 7 mins each. This year the draft will take about 3 hrs to conclude on day 1. Day 2 might take the same time.
Still, i'd rather watch it from my couch and listen to kiper and everyone talking about who the possible selections will be. Now the ultimate question, watch it on espn or nfl network?
But if you watch it from your couch you don't get to see Golic do his doughnut trick every time they break for a commercial.
easily most of their commentators I think are idiots I do watch the NFL network but watchin the draft on ESPN is a tradition
I think it would be fun this season because of these 3 reasons 1. Jets have a top 10 pick so theres gonna be tons of juice, especially if McFadden lasts 2. Miami has the 1st overall pick. OVERRATED chants will be roaring from everywhere, no matter who it is. Poor Howie Long will be looking at the fans with a big ''WTF''. 3. New England picks right after us so we can get a ''CHEEEEEEATERS CHEEEEEEATERS'' chant going. I've never been to the event to be honest, but I would be intrigued to go this year. Not sure whats the best time to leave(I am from Queens NY) but I would be loud most defintely for the draft early on.
Agreed. If anybody has seen the Thursday Night games with Collinsworth and Bryant Gumbel...BIIIIIGGGG SNNNOORREEE!!! I don't know who the color commentator between them is, but goddamn, easily the worst duo to ever call games.
If you haven't gone, you should go. One trip is more than enough though- trust me, you'll be dead tired at the end of the day. I will admit, I was laughing hard when Ted Ginn's name was called. The whole crowd did a collective "WTF"
I honestly don't know who is worse. They're both so, so, so bad. Collinsworth should be kept as an analyst (and even THEN, he pisses me off). But Gumbel...Jebus Cristo. The way he calls games, I think I'd rather watch flies fuck. Just terrible.
