I agree, they are not trying to "fake out" Jerry Jones. We've made a big investment in the OL, why not look at taking an explosive threat that can both run and catch out of the backfield...

I believe that Run DMC is our man. As we have seen from last year's draft Tanny gets what he wants. I think that we want DMC more than the Raiders ,and I believe that DMC would rather play in the limelight in New York. Plus I would get a McFadden jersey :jets:

I really think that if the draft goes Chris Long then Vernon Gholoston i really can see us trading up to #3 with atlanta, or else we r most likely stuck with someone we dont need or wont fit. After all we aren't shy about trading up to get our guy and i think one of those three prospects is our guy. Atlanta can trade back sit tight and wait for their franchise quarterback or that DT they are desperately in need of. I think if we don't come out of this draft with either chris long, jake long, Vernon Gholoston, or McFadden our draft is a faliure.

That is really stupid...I will be dissapointed too, but that doens't make this draft an automatic failure.

dude....this draft is a deep one.....

I'm gonna take it a step further and say if the Jets TRADE DOWN...it's a victory for this franchise....

I really think those are our guys and one of them is just a pick or two away and the impact they would have would be tremendous, and your right not a failure but a huge dissapointment.

Deep in what sense and at what position(s) of need for us? The first round is certainly anything but deep. What we need now are either offensive or defensive play makers.

I really hope we're not interested in McFadden. RB's have some of the highest bust-rates in the first round. That said, I think this whole thing is a smokescreen for one of two reasons.

    1. Obviously, a trade with Dallas is a possibility. This would give us more picks and we may even trade back up to grab a guy we really like. If, say one of the top guys falls to #13 or something, we may do the 2 firsts for a first and a second or something similar.

    2. This is to entice someone to take McFadden in the top 5 since we're indicating that he won't be available past 6. If someone trades up to get McFadden ahead of us, all the better since we never wanted him in the first place. If the draft goes something like J. Long, Dorsey, Ryan, McFadden, Ellis we suddenly have C. Long drop to us, and he might be the guy we really want. Personally, I'm hoping that McFadden, Ryan, Dorsey or any of a bunch of guys that we don't want go ahead of us. The three guys I want are J. Long, C. Long and Gholston.

  9. Sorry to dissapoint you..but a GM and crew do not spend this much time w/ a player they don't have any interest in just to "entice" others.

I'm trying to not get my hopes up over getting McFadden in green, I really can't see the Raiders passing on McFadden.
