    Here is a few questions.....

What if all the seats are NOT hit with a PSL, but mine are? Can I tell the Jets that I want to downgrade my seats to a NON PSL or a cheaper PSL area? If that is OK, I would do it. Or if the seats have different values, can I choose?

I would just have to change my screen name here from sect105 to lets say sect428!

If I decline to pay a PSL then I am out? Some Guy from the Upper level gets moved down? Then, the waiting list guy gets the seats up top? Or, The waiting list guy gets my better seats then the guy in the upper level who has had the tickets for 20 years?

You know at this moment none of us know the answers to your questions because the PSLs have not yet even been announced. Maybe you should call the NYJ tix office in Hempstead & maybe they can assist you with your queries

not Miami. Jacksonville. Jacksonville it's happened a lot that they don't sell out, so the games are blacked out locally.

They covered up 10,000 seats and they still can't sell out consistently.

Yes Miami also I lived in SE Florida for 10 years & even a PO game vs Indy was blacked out there

previously, they've allowed teams extra time to get the tickets sold

and yeah, there have been occurrences of local TV stations buying up a bunch of tickets to avoid the blackout.

Also, Winn-Dixie buys a huge block of seats to help prevent black outs

Quote "It's interesting though. If someone (currently) would be willing to pay me say, $3,000 for the priviledge of having me sign my tickets over to them, is this "blue sky" not almost the same thing as a PSL, really? Think about it."

Good point. To me, that is exactly what it is. As a season ticket holder, you have an inherent value in just being able to purchase your seats. That value is worth something at any point in time (well, as long as there is demand for tickets).

All the sports franchises are doing is capitalizing on this value. So, instead of giving you the right to purchase tickets for free, and then you capitalizing by selling that right for $2K or whatever, they are charging you for the right. How the value of the right fluctuates depends on the market and demand. But, if there is a market, you should always have that value (or at lest some value).

If you think about it, it's sort of like purchasing a share of stock. If the compnay does well and there is demand for the stock, the market price to own the right to attend every game will increase. If not, well, you get the point.

I have called the Jets myself for certain things, but I thought this was a Fan Forum and discussion board.

Should I also call the Jets and ask who they are going to draft?

I am sure that the next time I call the Jets and tell them that 17A sent me, They will tell me "oh yeah, I know that troll".

I am some what old in the tooth  but I still remember growing up in Flushing Queens and not being able to see the Jets at Shea due to the blacking out of games by the NFL. As much as we love and root for the Jets blacking out games in the future remains a possibility. Gas prices are reaching $4.00 a gallon. People are being either layed off or employers are cutting back on OT. Asking the average working guy to spring up to 5K just to have the right to buy a seat is nuts imho. The whole idea with the Giants and Jets building this stadium was to avoid PSL's and save both teams from paying a billion dollars apiece for 2 stadiums.I would bet that we would see at least a 20% refusal from current season ticket holders to buy the PSL.Regular ticket prices are close to hitting the $100 mark. PSL's will only be hurting the guy who brings his kid or his dad to see a game. The chants of J-E-T-S will be replaced by the sound of martini glasses clinking together up in the luxury boxes! I never thought football would turn in to an elitist sport like polo or cricket but it may very wel happen.

I disagree with the investment point. PSL's are like my Swim club bond. You pay a one time fee of $1000 that they use for capital improvements and you get it back without intrest when you quit. The ony difference is the Jets borrowed money to build the stadium and want my money to pay the loan. In this market, unless we go on a New England Pats run, we will never be as popular as the other guys so the demand will never push the PSL's up. Its about us paying the mortgage for Woody

I to remember the BOs of NYJ games many years ago. I disgree with your theory on the reason for the split stadium. It was to save the owners money not to not have PSLs was the reason for the joint stadium. The owners have implemented a policy to repay the building loan faster then in the past which is why PSLs are like a bear doing it in the woods is a sure thing. I think if you look at it from a performance point of view the NYGs should charge more since they have 3 SB rings in 4 SB appearances while we have none since the merger of the leagues
