it really sucks that most "true" fans will be priced out of our tickets, once the PSL'S are introduced. i've got 4 seats in section 111, 2nd and 3rd row isle, right behind jets bench, since 1980. if the PSL'S wind up being 5k each, that means i've got to pony up 20grand, just for the "honor", of forking over another 4200.00, to buy my tickets!! guess that'll be the thanks i get for supporting our beloved jets, through years of despair.GOD bless capitalism!! things are getting really out of hand. i remember when collecting wax packs, of trading cards was for kids. now, each pack sells for $5, or more!! what the hell is going on with this world? everything goes up, except our wages.HELP!!!
This is going to be my first year since 97 without season tix.The cash I am saving is going towards an upgrade to my TV with surround sound and NFL Sunday ticket. It has just become too much of a hassle and I would not be willing to pay a PSL next year so might as well start the new life now..
If you have been on the waitlist since 1992 you should have tix by now...I went on the list in 1994 and got tix in 2004 __________________ J...E...T...S...JETS...JETS...JETS That all depends on the number of tickets you requested.2 tickets easier than 4 to obtain.
just go to the jets website and print out the form. this year i only moved up about 200 spots. the last 2 years i moved about 800-900 spots each year. started in the very low 10,000 and am now down to 8,000. i agree that psl licenses are on the way. why else would they refund the money and discontinue the wait list fee? even if a lot of people decline and give up their seats i don't expect to be offered anything for awhile which is kind of good since i can't afford that much to buy a psl.
I have season tickets now i buy off same guy every year. I printed this form out when the $50 just came into affect but I never sent the money. Now that its free im gonna send it right away.
I just thought of this yesterday. I also buy season tickets from the same person each year, and am now in the 1200s on the list. I'm expecting to be offered tickets by the time the new stadium opens (it holds a few thousand more people, right? Plus, there will be 2 more years of waiting list movement between now and then. Lastly, people will drop off due to new stadium price increases and/or PSLs). But the thought that came to me yesterday is what if I somehow don't get offered tickets by then from the Jets AND if the person I buy them from decides not to go for the PSL? Mind you - this is not going to ruin my life or anything, and I'm sure I could find tickets from someone else. I had just realized this yesterday, though, that I might be left scrambling for a new alternative if I want to keep going to games.
I just noticed something that makes me think that the PSL's are not too far off. In my renewal notice for season tickets, there used to be a card that allowed you to transfer the rights to your tickets to anybody you wanted to. This year, it's not there. I was thinking of transferring my tickets over to one of my cousins because I might be moving out of the area (job) before the end of this year. Now it looks like I'll have to just give my tickets up. Pity. I was hoping to keep them in the family so that I'd have a chance to go (and know where I was going to sit in advance) every once in a while without having to scalp.
# 8000 huh. You will be offerred seats buddy when we move into the new stadium. Trust me, a lot more then 8000 people will be giving up their seats. Save your $
That is before the implementation of the PSL. Once that is announced the PSL it is going to turn the season tix thing totally upside down. You may go from 2,428 to #1 overnite once the amount of the PSL is announced
