If Gholston and Mcfadden are gone at pick six most everyone thinks we are screwed. To further show how crazy hypothetical trades can be:

Jets trade #6 pick 1700 points to Atlanta Falcons who take QB Matt Ryan.

Jets receive Falcons #34,37,48 worth 1540 points plus maybe #99 worth 104 points(or sub a swap ofAtl 68 and Jets giveback #98).

Although unlikely, Atlanta would get best available QB, plus their pick at 3.We would have 4 second picks who would fill multiple holes and be cheaper contractually which is why Jets get less than full point value. Sorry to much time on my hands.

That's an interesting thought, but this is Atlanta's list of needs:

    - Franchise QB
    - Starting LT
    - Starting RG/C
    - Starting DT
    - ILB
    - CB Depth

They are better suited to keep those three picks in the 2nd round IMO. They could pickup a QB such as Brian Brohm, Andre Woodson, Chad Henne or Joe Flacco with one of those 2nd round picks. All of these guys aren't too far behind Ryan.

Nice idea and I would 100% make this trade, but I think Atlanta has too many needs to fill to give up 3 or 4 Day One picks.

That would prob be the most unique trade in my knowledge of the draft. I would do it in a sec also if they offered it.

I was thinking about a trade like that but didnt really wanna make a thread about it i would do it in a second unless the Jets like Mendenhall or Cromartie enough to take them at #6 which also i would do in a second.

I agree about the list, but considering they signed Michael Turner, RB is definitely not a "need" for the Falcons.

Lots of good 2nd round talent to be had. I'd jump all over this, and keep an eye out for WR, CB, RT, OLB/DE, DE players, even take a good look at Brohm.

Falcons would be silly to give up all those picks when they have major rebuilding ahead of them though. Their best bet, just take Ryan, or tgt Brohm with #35.

Im sorry but i dont think that the falcons would take this, they are accumulating all these picks to begin to rebuild. There not going to trade them all away, if they think ryan will be the guy then they would take him with the number 3 pick.

I would love this, as the second round is about as talented as the end of the first round in this particular draft. There's LOTS of depth to be found. However, because of this, I don't see why a team like the Falcons would do this unless if they really fell in love with 2 guys in the top 6 like Ryan and Jake Long.

If we could pull that off I am all for it. Getting 34, 37, and 48 alone allows us to fill several areas of concern without the cost of a very high first rounder on the books. Being able to address WR, CB, OLB and possible DL or QB all in round two would be a real coup.
