Someone on another site posted his, and every pick seems solid:

P.S. the first 5 picked before us: J. Long, Gholston, Ryan, C. Long, Clady (in that order)

    6. N.Y. Jets - RB Darren McFadden*, Arkansas
    37. N.Y. Jets - OLB/DE Quentin Groves, Auburn
    99. N.Y. Jets - FB Peyton Hillis, Arkansas
    110. N.Y. Jets (from NO) - TE Brad Cottam, Tennessee

That to me seems like a damn near perfect 4 picks for us.

i would be doing backflips if Groves fell to us in the second, a proven passrusher probly wont though. Cliff Avril seems like a plausible guy in the second though. I have to question peyton hills in the third, didnt we just sign tony richardson? and idk too much about cottam but i would rather build depth on the oline or dline with that pick

I wouldnt mind 3 out of the 4 picks, but why the hell will we draft a FB rather than a WR?

richardson is a one year and done guy in my opinion, he's retiring after this season.

hillis can be a real weapon for someone, almost a Brian Leonard clone.

Especially after just signing Richardson..that's not a position you carry a depth guy for. If one gets hurt you go out and find another.

Cottam is a big (6'7" 270) TE that will help out a lot in the run game.

When he's in, it would be like having a 6th O-Lineman.

Not to mention he ran a 4.63 at that size, and he also did well in the pass catching drills.

i like that mock but i really start to think atlanta will pick DMC with their first round pick (look at michael vick hes a great athlete but he never won a championship for that franchise...so thats why i think theyll pass on ryan whos a much pressing need and a better ball player but less a weapon and will sells less jerseys).....

though it is impossible that they wont pick a QB (brohm??, flacco??) in the second round....

that being said if that scenario happens we just find ourselves with our hands full of shit...unless we trade down

i would kill myself if we draft another first round corner...i dont want us to become the new oakland raiders (havind half our cap reserved for CB)

I'd like to get a corner somewhere in the first 4 rounds.

If we're going to compete with NE, we're going to need to have some depth at corner to defend their spread offense.

I would love if the first 2 happened, but a FB in round 3? Haven't we been down that road a few times now?

The first two choices are good ones, even though Groves has a good chance to go Top 20 IMO.

Since Franks signed, we probably won't be looking for a TE and I don't like the Hillis pick in the 4th either.

We need a WR there and maybe a CB

I would take the highest corner instead of McFadden and be very happy, though I would have wanted a DE in rounds 2 or 3. We can take a 4th round flier on Marcus Monk as a receiver.

    Just my humble opinion but,
I have a sinking feeling about D-Mac there is just so much hype involved with this kid. I'm not saying he is not going to be a good RB in the NFL. I just don't see him as an all world type guy, who teams on the next level are going to have to key on. I think about Reggie Bush and how everyone thought he was going to run wild on every NFL team. To all you folks who want the Jets to make this pick, ask yourself what did Reggie Bush do on the next level?

Just because a player is very good in college there still remains the question of what they will do in the pro's. The Jets have two very good RB's in Jones and Washington and I think many of you will be very surprised by what Chatman will bring to the table.

The Jets are set at RB, at the very least for the next few years with the folks we have on the roster right now. If we can pick up and extra 2nd or 3rd this year and another pick next year for trading spots. This Jets fans would be very happy with that kind of move.It would also allow the Jets to continue the the youth movement by drafting players who will begin to be major players within a 3 year time frame, just as some of the older players on the team start reaching the end of there pro careers....

I absolutely hate it. The only pick I like is Groves. If the 1st round played out like that I'm taking Ellis to play DE, eventually replacing our current Ellis. Sure, Groves is fine there. 3rd I'm looking for a WR, and 4th I'm taking a RT.

Yes we did just sign Richardson but what if he gets hurt, Peyton Hills is a great backup and could be a great player in the league imho.

That would be a very strong draft from a talent perspective, so i would be very happy.

However, the only big time need we fill in this scenario is at pass rushing, but I think Groves will go top 25.
IF Mcfadden is still there at 6, i think we'd have enough leverage to trade down.
The two Dallas 1st rounders would put us in better position to draft Groves, along with best WR available Sweed or Thomas, or RT Cherilus, or potentially a CB like Jenkins or Tailb.
Not to mention still having a #36 to fill another need with BPA, whether that be a Nicks, Hardy, Dre Moore, etc..
Then I'd really be doing backflips.

No draft where we pick DMC is perfect. I do not think he will transition to the NFL well and will be poor value.
