My fantasy baseball draft is coming up and I am only a casual fan. I need some help. Who are your sleepers and busts for the coming season?
I wouldn't touch Pujols with a 10 foot stick. I'm still hesitant on Ryan Braun, but I'm start to like him more and more. Once again, I'll probably draft Rich Harden, and he'll get hurt. I love John Maine this year, not just b/c im a Met fan, I think where ever he's draft is going to be a steal. I don't think Jimmy Rollins is worth a 1st round pick. Ryan Howard is the best 1st baseman over Pujols and Fielder. I'm starting to think if you can Brandon Phillips in the late 2nd-early 3rd round, it's a good pick. If anything else comes to mind off the top of my head, I'll add it.
Agreed. Just hitting infront of Utley and Howard will net Rollins 120 runs. Add in 50+ SB, 20+ HR and 280+ ba makes him a top 5 pick in any league. And I am completely sold on Braun. They are moving him to the OF this year. He will mash the ball whether he hits in front of Fielder or behind him. Pujols could pull down .310 45hr 120 rbi in a wheelchair so he is still a top 3 player. You are right about Phillips though but you can probably get him in the 4th or 5th rounds. I'll name some real sleepers after the TGG draft. I dont want to help mparty out at all.
TGG draft is Saturday. I have my $$ league draft on Sunday night. So I'm looking forward to see your sleeper list before then
I've seen Pulojs falling to the 2nd round in some mocks. Good, take him, will leave someone better for me.
I drafted Dan Pasqua in the 14th round. Solid sleeper pick. He's going to make the Yankees be good again.
lol damn i really had nothing else on the pascua comment and it looked like a bad trade at the time. the mets obviously made out on that trade
