I'm a big fan of what he did for the Hawaii football program. He has a good arm, broke alot of records, and always played with alot of heart from what I watched. Just wondering where he might end up in the draft and what round. Found this on NFDraftDog. After his mediocre performance at the 2008 Senior Bowl, Brennan's stock is at an all time low. However I wouldn't be surprised to see him drafted in the 3rd or 4th round by a team like the 49ers. Mike Martz is the new offensive coordinator there and he obviously liked him at the Senior Bowl. Brennan will need a couple years of seasoning in the NFL. He throws too many interceptions, needs to develop more patience and improve his footwork, and he will have a lot to learn transitioning from the run and shoot offense to a traditional NFL offense, but if he stays out of trouble and if his NFL team is very patient with him, he could develop into a Pro Bowl NFL quarterback. Remember, the Colts and the Patriots run a similar offensive system to Hawaii's at times. I can see the Vikings taking him in the 4th round as a project player and he could play 3rd string to Jackson. Might be an possible fit? Like to hear what the TGG thinks.
Bad game against Georgia, bad Senior Bowl... questions are now beginning to arise about him... size and weight a concern.... i've hear early 2nd day to 6th round.
He had a lot of questions to answer, but didn?t during the Senior Bowl and Combine. His strange throwing motion and release point will scare a lot of teams off. If he?s lucky he?s a 4th rounder, and i don?t think he can do anything in the NFL.
Watch Brennan become the next Brady. He'll go in the 6th round to the Bills or Phins become a beast and start a new dynasty. That would be a Jets fan luck.
Yeah, and he's not good enough to convert to safety. Amazing how he could set just about every record the NCAA has and not have something to offer at the pro level. I know the competition wasn't that great but they weren't all dogs either..it was the WAC. (Isn't that where Clemens came from?....lol..nope that was the PAC-10)
his stock would have dropped last year as it did this year. He just didn?t do anything to show, that it wasn?t just competition.
The Arena Football League is where he's going...he should find success there. He's not an NFL QB. June Jones' system helped him out a lot.
I dont know. There is something about this kid that makes me think he can make. I think he's definetily a project. He needs 3-4 years on the bench learning but i think in a martz-esque system he could be great. He's shown he's a leader and is fairly accurate. He will be someone who's career i want to keep an eye one.
i agree with you ace nick. all colt brennan did was help his team win, jsut what the scouts sad about tom brady
sorry the system he ran was based on them putting more athletes on the field then the other team could cover, wont work at the next level, he really had alot of people going, maybe it would have been better if he didnt go to a major bowl.
He was less than impressive when I saw him at the Senior Bowl, but you really cant gauge someone on one bad game. He is being touted as the most accurate of all the QB's in this year's draft. If we can land him late, i think it would be a solid addition.
