I agree.....use a lower pick......NEVER waste a 1st round pick unless there's an Elway or Manning sitting there

Im not convinced matt ryan or any QB is worth the 6th pick. I say we draft a QB in Rd. 2 hopefully Joe Flacco.

I think Chad still has it in him to be a more then servicable QB. Remember how the Bears made it to the Super Bowl with Grossman.

I also don't think Ryan is worth a number 6. He will be a good QB but probably not a franchise QB. That said, he will probably go to Atlanta at #3 or KC at number #5 anyway...maybe even Miami at #1...lol.

I doubt Ryan will go #1 but you're right, MIAMI needs a QB biggggggggg time.

Why do we need a new QB? Clemens now has a better than average line, will have more time in the pocket and will benefit from the running game averaging more than 3 yards a carry. Even noodle armed Penny thrived when had a good line.

So why all the talk about a new QB in this draft, anyone who thinks that is a fucking idiot. How many young QB's lit the world on fire their first 3 years with a shitty line and avg running game.

    Waiting for that answer dickie.

If you want a new QB get rid of Penny and bring in a cheap vet backup ...harrington, carr, leftwich. Someone that is gonna sign cheap and we hope never gets to play and holds a great clipboard.

Or just keep Penny his skills are diminished but he still is one of the smartest QB's thats ever played the game. Too bad it didn't always show on the field.

I am against drafting a QB at all this year, but I do think that Matt Ryan is worth at least a top 10 pick for someone. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he play in a pro style system? He's big and has a good arm too. I would say he is most ready to play in NFL, then Brohm.

why cant clemens have a chance to play behind a real offensive line, and hopefully a productive running game. give him a chance to have a complete offseason to work with 1st team offense and allow him time to develop. look at what we were saying about eli, and now he has a ring.

Why? Because the offensive line has nothing to do with the fact he couldn't throw the ball within 5 yards of his target last year. That's why he will still be second string when the season starts.

    how about no?

clemens is our guy until proven otherwise the line is now rebuilt (still lack depth) but with better starters we should look alot better on offense.

if both Chad and Kellen stink it up next year...we could always sign Mike Vick the following season after he breaks out of the big house.

Chad will win the job, he's our best chance to win. Let Clemens spend one more year learning the system, then he'll be ready to go. And NO don't draft a QB again.

Take Ryan cut or trade Chad. Two young QB's to compete if both work out you get great value down the line if one works out we are far better off than we are now.

I'd rather we get someone like Ainge, Henne, Booty, or something than Ryan at 6. Theres so much better value at that pick than QB. I just don't buy that he's a top 10 pick as a QB.

I don't see any need to even draft a QB personally...

This thread has been buoyed all day long, why, I can't imagine, other than negative reactions to taking a QB at #6.

Bluntly, it's insane for the NY Jets to take a QB at #6 this year.

Joe Flacco in the mid-late 2nd Round, now that I could support.
