    Good signing

RB depth is fine now. Chatman is a nice receiver out of the backfield and has averaged 4.6 YPC in his short career so far. Health is the biggest thing with him, but hopefully he'll stay fresh in limited action.

Veteran depth is aways a good thing. Solid power back who actually has very good speed.

I remember when he was at Miami a lot of the fans were extremely happy and impressed with Chatman. Definately good for depth.

Depth is great, but Leon, TJ, Chatman I think means the Jets are looking to trade out if they are in position to draft D-mac

That gives us one great trio in the RB department. Good signing, always good to have depth at a position.

Great signing- this means we either trade down, or draft Gholston or McKelvin

This is good signing and adds alot of depth. On the surface it appears the Jets are looking to trade down. If Dorsey or Ellis is there you could get calls from the Bengals, Saints and Broncos.

the depth on this roster is really starting to approach good

TJ, Leon, and Chatman are so much better than what we had in Mangini's first year

we could use some wideouts, but we look to be competitive

I dont think signing Chatman means no McFadden. It could just mean we don't think he'll be there so we're just playing it safe. It's only a one year deal.

Good signing. I really hope he plays like he did last season or how he did with the Chargers. This a really nice backfield we have now. We have speed and elusiveness with Washington; Power with Chatman and a little of both with TJ.

Good pickup and shouldn't be much against the cap..

Oh, and this doesn't mean McFadden is out of the picture though.

I tend to think it does. The #6 overall pick isn't drafted to be #3 on the depth chart and I can assure you that Chatman wouldn't have signed unless he knew he was going to be the #2 back.

He signed a one year deal ... I can assure you that he did not receive any such guarantee.

Yup, this is the end of the Mcfadden garbage talk. He will never be a good every down nfl running back.

I dont get why people think signing a #3 RB to a one year deal means no McFadden.
