He ran 4.58 at his personal workout. Also a 42" vertical. He's going to Oakland at #4

That'll mean Jets trade with Dallas *crosses fingers*
    I'd also "settle" for DMC.

I think he's going 2nd overall to the Rams. Leonard Little is about 33 years old and didn't have a great 07' season and James Hall was just cut.

    Right now IMO...

    1. Miami: Chris Long DE/OLB
    2. St. Louis: Vernon Gholston DE
    3. Atlanta: Matt Ryan QB or Sedrick Ellis DT
    4. Oakland: Darren McFadden RB
    5. Kansas City: Jake Long OT

That's probably a pretty fair prediction. Ryan could go to the Dolphins, also Dorsey could go to Kansas City.

Although this won't deter the Raiders, Todd McShay said signing McFadden will be almost impossible for Oakland.

I don't know. I would have to say Ellis to Oakland to replace Sapp.

He's going top 3, you just don't ignore that kind of athleticism... cant he do something bad so that he comes back to 6?

Shit, move up and get this kid.

But would you send more picks for an outside linebacker (remember we signed Pace)when we sent our 3rd and 5th to Carolina already? I think trading more picks this year, along with just a four-player class last year, would ultimately hurt our future, despite drafting Gholston.

    Exactly.

We had four draft picks last year, we can not have a similar situation this year.

Agreed, as much as I like Gholston, I don't think he's that much better than the rest of the pack to trade up for him.

My suggestion would be to trade down (even if it meant not getting the greatest of value on the pick value chart) and landing Groves if the idea/plan is to add another pass rusher. Considering the price to acquire the two, I think Groves will be a much better buy.

Gholston is putting up some beastly numbers at every workout he participates in. Im starting to think he could be a top 5 pick. Leaving us out in the rain.

So be it. Mike Mayock had his top 10 mock today and had Chris Long falling to us. The further up Gholston goes, the more of a chance we have of getting Long.

We have ZERO chance of getting Long, almost everyone has him going #1, if Miami doesn't take him, St Louis will because it's easily their biggest need, but just for fun, lets assume they do pass on him, there is no way the Raiders pass on Howies son, who also happens to fill a big need and provides great value at that spot.
