So are we back on with Denver, since there DT is in trouble with the law. Maybe we get something better out of a trade with them. I hope so, maybe a third and fourth.
This is a simple one. Robertson is not going to let the deal go through unless it is on his terms. He has the power here and he knows that he either gets paid by the Jets or paid by someone else. If he kills the deals with everyone else he gets cut and becomes a free agent. The only thing he has to worry about is being cut at the very end of FA when everyone is out of $.
And that time will be right before June 1st. Keep in mind, if he's cut, he loses out on a $ 3million bonus. So, he has to realize a signing bonus of that just to break even. Nobody will pay him anywhere near his base salary now. There will be more available now rather than later. I don't know why he's turning down deals.

I'm not sure why Cincy is so desperate to land a DT when they have a good chance at landing Ellis in the draft.
Because if Ellis isn't there, then what? You don't put all your eggs in the draft unless you have the first pick or maybe the 2nd pick.
I hope we can still do a deal with Denver and if we do, I hope this ass does not screw it up again by demanding big bucks.For all the years he has "stolen "money from us he should just shut up nd take what is given.
