CB Leodis McKelvin (or Rodgers-Cromartie). I don't usually like to post this type of speculation but with all the Jets FA pickups I just have a feelilng they look CB (they'd go safety first but there's not one worth taking here). Gholston would still be a good pick here but I have a feeling he's gone, along with Chris Long. I don't think they take McFadden, even if he drops. Even after spending a lot on CB last year the Jets still need another great young corner. Why not get one here?

ehhh. Try again. CB is not a first round need. Or much of a need at all..

it wont be the jets picking. even though i think if the gholston is there we still pick him to keep him away from the patriots.

I still say that if Gholston is around, we have to take him.

I would also be shy on pulling the trigger on McFadden if he's around at #6. His off-field issues are apparently a moderate sized problem...

The ideal scenario would be a trade down, but you have to consider that that isn't too likely

The only way I see the Jets going CB is if both McFadden & Gholston are both gone. I think the offseason is breaking just right for the Jets to draft McFadden, its looking like a good possibility that he will be available and we have filled our biggest needs. He would bring a dimension to the O that we desperately need.

Because Hank Poteat is a great lock-down corner on Wes Welker.

And before this counter-argument comes up, Justin Miller is not going to magically ride in on his shining white horse and save the day. Mangini already shows how much he likes him by kicking him out of the kick return spot a year after going to the pro bowl as one... Miller is just not going to work out as a starting cornerback.

Trade with Dallas and get a stud WR and top CB.

If not, then hope that McFadden falls to us at #6. Either way we need an Off playmaker early in this draft.

No he's an unrestricted free agent that is considered to be a lock to return because Mangini likes him a lot.

If all the TOP prospects are gone, the pick is Keith Rivers. We have a HUGE need for an upgrade to the other ILB position. He's a playmaker and top 10 talent. He can be our 3-4 version of Vilma.

I like it- but if were gonna draft a CB in round 1, wouldnt we just trade down so we can draft a CB and another need area in round 1?

    Good, I like Poteat.

Maybe Mangini does draft a CB at #6. I won't complain, but on a team thats way more desperate for offensive play makers it wouldn't make much sense to me. I think they're more likely to trade down if they can find a partner.
