I hope Bill Parcels is not laughing somewhere right now having played Mangini like a fiddle. It has been known to happen. But I am optimistic and VERY excited about the improvements over the last few days. Finally this team is doing something we can all be proud of. Here's to not being embarrasses by the JETS this year!
I've been listening to a.m. sports stations down here. There barely mentioning it. LOL. I'm loving it. DOLPHINS SUCK!
Dolphins aren't going very far next year. Parcells is not building the blowfish, to win now. He's building it to win 2 to 3 years from now.
Why are we paying this guy (Pace) as though he's the best linebacker in the NFL. I hope it works out, but is anyone feeling the same way??
I think we ALL are. But whatever, it's done with now...We can all bitch and moan and complain, but it's done.
UHH. Yep. I also makes wonder what the plan is. All signs point to Dmac at this point. Don't need a RT/OLB/LG. What is our biggest hole right now?
Pace had 6.5 sacks last year (correct me if I'm wrong), starting all 16 games. So is this guy going to be the huge difference-maker we need on Defense? He also suffered a major injury in 2005?? It sure seems like our precious under-the-cap money -- and less of it, too -- could have been better spent on say, adding Randy Moss to our offense at 3 Years 18 M. As I said, I hope I'm wrong.
Super Bowls can be won without a dominant WR. They are really hard to win with a subpar front seven. Pace was a damn good player last year. I didn't watch one or two Cardinals games in 2007. I watched about 12 of them. Pace stood out. Four players on that defense played at a high level- Dockett, Pace, Hood, and Wilson.
Pace wasn't signed to be the edge rusher. We have signed Pace to play the position that the Cowboy's strong side OLB, Greg Ellis plays. He plays OPPOSITE of their edge rusher, Demarcus Ware. We are STILL looking to fill the edge rush position and we will STILL try to draft Gholston or perhaps Groves in the 2nd.
My favorite player is Anquan Boldin. Because I have NFL Sunday Ticket, I am able to watch Cardinals games. If the Cardinals were not playing at the same time as the Jets, I watched the Cardinals game. When they played at the same time, I was flipping back and forth. After them, I suppose the team I saw most often in 2007 was the Patriots, but that was in large part to many of their games being stand-alone ones in primetime. I can't comment too much on Kris Jenkins' performance in 2007. Just didn't watch enough Panthers games. I can speak on Pace's year, though.
