Damien Woody http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/2008/03/03/2008-03-03_jets_making_push_to_land_former_patriots.html Noobs.....
Could Olivea sign too? That would mean we wouldn't even need to think o-line in the draft, going all skill players. I love this off season!
Yes, I would love to get Godsner Cherilius in the second round or even somebody else for that matter.
I personally don't like Olivea at all; a lazy, undisciplined player whose own team mates were calling out. But what do I know....
Nice – can’t believe this offseason. Hopefully Callahan can get the new guys, DBrick and Mangold jelling quick.
Haha nice pickup hmy: I have not seen much of Woody lately, but I certainly remember him being a beast (there's that word again) in NE and then didn't he get hurt pretty badly or something once he left? Has his play dropped off much? I really haven't heard much of him since the year after he left the Pats.
Man this guy has mileage but so does Faneca; http://www.detroitlions.com/bio.cfm?bio_id=214&season=7 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_Woody
This is a great pick up for us. Callahan has been handed a golden ticket this year I can't wait to see what he does with it. TJ and LW are raring to go after this makeover.
Woody will definately help. We're going to have such an improved OL it is going to be great. We'll have so much more depth too.
At this point, I think the Jets have done just about enough on offense. The O-Line is going to be 10 times better than last year and it should give the offense a power running game that will set up the passing game/play action. This team should be able to run long drives that will make the defense look better as well. I hope they focus on putting together a shut down defense with another solid CB, a pass rushing OLB, and a 3-4 DE. At the same time, I'd also be happy if Javon Walker got signed to a decent contract or McFadden somehow drops to #6.
