Any Jet fan that isn't satisfied with what they've done so far is either very negative, not a real Jet fan or just never satisfied. They have some more work to do but if they can get a quality RT, pass rushing OLB and some depth we should be able to make the playoffs.

You should never be satisfied, yes they have done a very good job so far, but they are no where near done. There is always room to get better.

you lost me when you asserted someone can't be a real Jets fan if they disagree with you.

The biggest concern I've been voicing (and many) and as the Start-Ledger also points out in today's Sports Section, was whether or not this team could actually attract Free Agents, given our record at 4-12. This was a monumental task, but apparently both Faneca and Jenkins are up to the task and now, this is a positive for any others who might come here.

The Jenkins and Faneca acquisitions can definitely be the catalyst that makes the Jets a more attractive option for FA who are not just interested in more money but also those who yearn for a chance to go for the ring.

Still have the same coach... oh yeah – forgot he had NOTHING to do with the 4 – 12 season. Thank god.

Yep, Faneca was a huge signing in that regards. It removes some of the stigma of the Kendall thing last year.

all kendall wanted was an additional million if I remember correctly. Faneca is one hell of a player but this is one real expesnsive way to get past what was a mistake in letting kendall go last year.

  14. Well Let's also keep in mind that Faneca is a FAR better player and also younger. That def. makes a difference.

Faneca is a better player than Kendall, really significantly better. You can argue the money all you want and you could well be right, but the Jet's line is stronger going into 2008 already than it was going into 2006. Now if they can just find a good RT it'll be a strength instead of a weakness for the first time since 2004.

When you're making posts like this I have a real good feeling about 2008. The sunsiners are waiting, come to the light side.

  17. Bradwaysux is old school. He loves to see the grunts added up front. Faneca and Jenkins are just what the Dr. ordered for his kind:smile:

You obviously aren't a real Jets fan. You must be an infidel.

I hear you but if we had kendall how much more money would we have to spend. But I guess at this juncture it is a moot point.... I agree with you good a RT would make our line decent if they can gel.

It's always good to throw mopney at your mistakes. No one can tell me that Tannenbaum wasn't kicking himself for the way he handled the Kendall situation. He knew he blew it when he saw the starting QB hit like a Pinata. Hey I'm delighted with the moves so far but at least Tangini are learning from their mistakes
