Well..they already gave away the third and fifth. I'm sure Detroit would be willing to take a second, plus Robertson. I'm not digging that...
i think if you can draft mcfadden with pick 6, manningham might be there at our pick in the 2nd round, and mark my words, that guy is going be playing some serious ball somewhere.
We still have Coles and Cotchery. Either Hackett or Johnson would be a great #3 receiver, and they might have the potential to start, especially BJ.
I wish I could agree with you,but let's be honest...the Jets receiving corp is mediocre at best. There's no who secondaries have to key. Coles is the best they have right now, and as of now, he's disgruntled. Cotchery would look better if he had speedster on the other side. The last three..well...let's just say..it's not looking good.
I like your thinking, but the defensive and offensive line are more of a priority than receivers IMO. There's got to be some small college stud who could be availiable in round four.
hackett is a good reciever, he avg 64 ypg, playing in only 6 games last year sharing balls with branch engram, and burleson, he would be an excellent complement to our recieving core, and he is 6'2 wich is pretty decent size
I think Cotch has good hands and is tough as nails. I also think he is essentailly a slot guy. He does not fare well against man coverage. Good corners put him away. He is effective against zone D's. We need a number 1, or at least a 1a.
I think Coles is a below average/average # 1 receiver, he would be a great # 2 and Cotch is a below avg/avg # 2, but would be an awesome # 3 guy. Now if we every picked up a guy like for instance Javon Walker as our # 1. wow. Kellen Clemans would be a very happy QB and we wouldn't be no 4-12 team
There are plenty of FA options, but I think we could pickup a good one in the 2nd round. James Hardy, Mario Manningham, Early Doucet and Andre Caldwell are guys that could be around in the 2nd when we pick and could step right in and contribute.
