Guys, this is the reason why I can't check this website all the time. I love to get my Jets news on here, but sometimes you guys drive me nuts. I am always reading (before this offseason) why can't we be active in free agency. Why is Woody cheap? Now, we go out and make our team better and spend some money, then I read how we are mortgaging the future, how we are going to be in cap hell, why are they giving these guys so much money??? Make up your mind. I, for one, am happy they are being aggressive and want to make this team better. I dont really want Pace, but if he is going to make us better, then why not. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS.....WE ARE NOT GUARANTEED GHOLSTON!!!!!!! I laugh when people say not to get Pace because we are going to get Gholston. How the hell do you know he is going to be there at #6? Morons! If we have a chance to get him, then get him. This team is going to be improved no matter who we get at #6 (leaning towards McFadden now if we get Pace). Oh well, I feel better now. Peace. The entire point of a discussion board is for people with opposing views can discuss and argue certain topics. You're always going to have opposing positions.
You're right........I apologize. Just happy they are finally doing something and am still reading negative comments. I am sure the team will never make a move thats approved by every fan. Go Jets!
The only thing i will agree with is people have lost their minds on here... people are coming out and making no sense out of draft strategies, FA signings and so forth- i understand freedom of speech and respect it, i'd just like more common sense from us die hard fans. I feel if you love your team that much, please have football and front office knowledge to not look an utter fool.
Me... Im excited like never before that we signed Faneca and traded a 3rd and 5th for Jenkins... Excited is not the word.... Im pumped up as a fan! But can you blame people before FA for being upset that we didnt land anyone in the offseason last year? Other than really Thomas Jones, while the Patriots were out getting players that WE NEEDED like A.Thomas, W.Welker, R.Moss, D.Stallworth, can you blame them for saying Woody was cheap at the time? Look at the New York Knicks, most of us Jet fans are New York Knicks... Im not worried about the cap, I trust this FO... But can you blame Jet fans for being nervious about bringing in Faneca and Jenkins PLUS going after a player like Pace who wants big time money? No need to come on here calling people Morons...
Ever sit at a table with about 10 Jet fans? Or any team in the NFL...a group of fans that like the same team? 6 fans will know what the hell they are talking about....2 fans will pipe in and not really give a crap...1 fan is eating all the potato chips..double dipping the whole time...and 1 really hopes Vinny has a great year for us in 2009. All of us that have been around leave because we dont like what we are reading..but thats our problem. Just relax..take a deep breath...and go in the kitchen and eat the new bag a chips that the cheap bastard running the party will never break out.
