I feel like I'm missing something as usual. The excitement over Jenkins and Feneca is nice, but I also feel..it's like driving a 1974 Pinto and then someone hands you the keys to a 1992 Camry. Sure, it's an upgrade. But after driving the Pinto, anything is an upgrade. It's not like we went from Pinto to an SLR McLaren here.
I hate to be the only one who doesn't see the clouds parting and rainbow dropping a pot of gold into the Meadowlands over this.
They have a guard, which everyone should have in the NFL.
    They upgraded the DL.
    Big deal.
One guy's probably already peaked at 31, so we'll get what? The first 3 or 4 years of the decline. The other guy's already been broken down as often as Vilma and Vilma was exhiled as a cripple who couldn't adjust, instead of the star the adjustments should have been made for.
I'm glad we didn't spend on Samuel but if this team really wants me to believe we can win next year or even compete with the guys they share a stadium with, then go sign a godamned game changer...not more co-stars. We are a team of co-stars, and our only true remaining leader is apparently now the backup qb. The other leader was just traded to the Big Easy for what amounts to a basket of crawfish. And NO ONE CARED.
A 4th rounder for the face of a franchise?!
As Jets fans we should be demanding more and expecting more then this. Like how bout opening the wallet and putting Lance Briggs next to Harris? Briggs would be exciting. Jenkins is ho-hum. We've created "sweepstakes" over above average-ness, instead of greatness.
Feneca and Jenkins are not worth the backflips you're all doing. These are simply moves that had to be done so our record doesn't get worse next year. If they can grow balls and break the f'n bank already to sign Randy Moss, I'll share in your delusions of grandeur. And if that longest of long-shots doesn't happen, I'll be out of the office until the draft. Good afternoon and good luck.

yeah because Woody signed off on that deal. He wouldnt know who Jon Vilma is if he fell on him. And there was nothing wrong with the trade. at all.

He has always been cheap. Just look at his history. He is still cheap but now his desperation is taking control of his cheapness. He has a new stadium opening in another year and his fans are irate.

you can only add so many pieces at once, these are 2 really good moves, but we are going to get a game changer at #6 overall, we dont have to sign one, this team is still a year away from being a serious sb threat, that said with more pieces in place, next year we can put the icing on the cake

Spending big $$ on a Guard to cover up a FO Mistake totally makes him a spender and free of being "Cheap"?

    PLEEEAASE!
This Cheap MF'er had a Chance and the $$$ to get us our own stadium, the first for us ever and He chose, CHOSE to stay w/ the Giants in NJ.

Gave Cheap ass, gifts ( which were exactly the same ) to a Good WR and a HOF RB... Nice Woody!

He has alot of $$$ to spend before that label comes off.

First of all you dont even know what the Vilma trade is- good job there. secondly there is absolutely no sign of Faneca breaking down. Hes 31 which is not old for a guard in any way , shape or form. Hes also been to 7 probowls. I guess I should wait til we get a guy whos been to 8 before I can do flips?? as far as Jenkins being hurt, hes played every game the last two seasons. Im bar far, no sunshiner but your post is ridiculous, uninformed, and inaccurate

There's a stench coming from my montior due to this post. Why didn't you just post a picture of excrement instead of this? It would have the same value.

The Jets always come close to maxing out with regard to the cap. Anyone who called Woody cheap doesn't get it.

Stuckey could turn out to be a key player for us next year pick up 2 athletes in the draft and one or two more good pieces not bank breakers in FA and we can be in the hunt for the playoffs. If Clemens proves he has elite talent and can get his feet under him we may do some real damage? We need to get a little lucky with a special player we don't know we have yet and Clemens has to be a serious NFL QB. With good line play we have an opportunity to get lucky.

It's amazing how people don't realize that it is the FO and not the owner who makes these football decisions. Jet fans are not happy unless they are unhappy. If the Jets did nothing in the past 24 hours, it would be Johnson's fault because he wouldn't want to spend money. Now that the Jets have opened the check book and upgraded the team, Jet fans question the moves, claim he is desperate and tie it to ticket prices and upcoming PSLs.

Someone please explain how, if the Jets built their own stadium, PSLs would not be coming and be twice as high?
Unbelievable. What do people want this franchise to do? Isn't it obvious that the Jets are 1)upgrading their stadium, 2) upgrading their practice facility and avoiding having to travel to home games and 3) upgrading their team. Now we'd all like to see the team win, but the steps above make winning more likely. What do you want Johnson to do - hand you money on the way into the stadium? Personally thank you for buying tickets? Debate the future of the Jets with Champ?

^^^^^^^^^^^^Someone must not have gotten laid last night^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I was never good with numbers, but based on the signings alread, you're asking for Briggs and Moss too?! You do realize there is a salary cap that applies to all teams including the Jets, right? We still have Robertson's contract. We still have to do Rhodes. We still have to try to appease Coles. And we still have a top 10 pick to sign.
And on top pf everything, you were one of the ones who WANTED them to trade Vilma! You should "stay out of the office" until you can recover your mind.
This is a great FA period for the Jets, probably one of the best ever.

i wrote that yesterday when we thought it was only a 4th rounder for vilma, which would have been a horrible deal for us. the way it turned out was much better
