Comparing Kendall to Faneca is simply stupid. He fixes a huge problem for us and the deal is not that bad especially since we have plenty of cap room. Great deal.

Faneca is a stud. He helped Willie Parker become a #1 RB. Hopefully he can give a similar boost to our lame-ass running game. Now all we need is Marion Barber III.
Kendall wasnt worth the sweat in my underwear. The guy was a scumbag lying cancer that the FO kicked to the curb. Now we have the best LG in the game. Screw the money, the cap might not even be in efftect in 2 years. Woody is making a choice right now, the Giants won the SB, here's my wallet, and the FO is running with it. Kendall is not Faneca by a long shot. It would appear that the Kendall issue was not only about money though. It was as much about him going to the press saying the front office lied to him. That was a big no no. Moore stayed quiet and got his pay day. Run your mouth and get run out of town.That message was sent to the entire club. The fault lies in the fact that they did not get a replacement for Pete soon enough. Witht he report comming out that the Lions backed out of a deal for Woody late it would seem that they tried, but failed to add anotehr o-lineman last year and were forced to go with Clark. A disaster for sure, but one that has now been taken care of. If the O-line had not been completely ignored for years the problem would no have been such a big problem. I full hope Tanny has learned from this and continues to spend draft picks on the O-line when he finds value. You can never have enough Talent on the line waiting in the wings.
Kendall can't block Faneca's jock strap! I'm thrilled - and I admit once upon a time I said you never pay guards - but things have changed mightily. This guy is not onlly a Pro Bowler but a HOF'er! He's helped his team lead the NFL in rushing and be dominant - and with Stroud and Wilfork in our division - we need him!
The the Steelers fan that I talk to hate to see him leave but know that they couldn't afford him...They all say he's easily got 3 to 4 years great years left.

Does anybody have a quote from Faneca after the signing? I'd love to hear that he's actually pumped up to be a Jet and that this wasn't some kind of Plan B (or C) deal.
