In my opinion he has done a great job keeping Jet fans informed. Clearly the best beat writer covering the Jets. Damien Woody should be coming in next week, that should be the end of Anthony Clements

I nominate Cannizzaro and Greenberg as the absolute worst Jets beat writers, and I prefer the Post to the news. They have turned out like 2 articles since the Chiefs game. And Cannizaro is a huge Pennington supporter and is one of the reasons why casual Jets fans and fans outside of NY think that Clemens is garbage and PEnnington is still capable of starting.

Let me set the record straight- We dont know if Clemens is the answer, but hell be given at least 08 to show what he can do. As for Pennington, The Jets know he has nothing left and willl either trade him or let him go.

guarentee Clemens does a lot better this year...if he doesnt...give him another year...it took four years for eli to finally develop....clemens who isnt close to eli's potential can still be great and a steal in the second....

unlike some of you...i really like clemens and defended him all year...if we get faneca and a improved rt....believe me, his picks will go down....his td's will go up and his yards will double...i can see 3000 + this year....he has 9 starts under his belt...

All of the Clemens hate reflects a lack of appreciation for: the reality of learning curves for quarterbacks in the league, a lack of weapons at Clemens disposal, a lack of a running game, the importance of a good offensive line to a young quarterback.

just kidding but your exactly right....he was sacked 27 times i believe in 9 games....that would get any quarterback rattled

Really? Put Pennington on the Pats, they still get to the Super Bowl.

neither guy was given any sort of real opportunity to do anything last year.. but i like the idea of the two battling it out again and i trust manginis decision when it comes around.

yawn. so, essentially, you are inferring that Pennington is just as good as Brady, because your statement can't mean anything except that. I don't think anyone except you believes such a ridiculous position.

Pennington = Great Team Guy....and he tries hard....but that's it. I'm sick of watching Coles run a "go route" only for him to stop and wait for a Pennington "Flutterball" to catch up to him.

This is Clemens' team now...the guy can throw...he can scramble....when the Jets are done with FA and the 2008 draft....Clemens will be put in a position to win games. If he doesn't.....then at least we know what the Jets draft needs will be for 2009.

Yea honestly, where do they serve all this Pennington Kool-Aid? The guy is no longer an adequate starting quarterback in this league- Plain and simple. Who knows what Clemens is, but the Jets are gonna find out. Im tired of reading all the newspapers spinning this propaganda that there will be an open qb competition between Clemens and Pennington. Its not happening. Hes not a Jet next year- no chance.

And im tired of the news media talking about the Jets need for a speedy wide receiver. You cant fix every area of need in one off-season. This off-season is about the offensive line and making the defense elite.

Actually, Coles got injured on an underthrown pass from Clemens, not Chad.

I bet any money..Pennington is traded on draft day...probably to the Vikes or the Chiefs.

dude...Pennington has been underthrowing Coles for years...and he HAD protections...Clemens was protected by swiss cheese and a prayer last season...he's lucky he was able to throw at all!!

Yea im guessing some incompetent franchise believes Chad can be their "game manager"- Kansas City is a pretty good candidate.

KC has been quiet.....I think Herm makes a play for his golden boy....they're built for a dink and dunk type offense.

Bullshit....he had plenty of time to throw on that pass to Coles that he got hurt on. He may have a stronger arm than Pennington, but there's more to throwing a good deep ball than just heaving it.

I agree, my friend....but if you're looking for a superstar type QB that can throw the long ball and be accurate too....you might be waiting for awhile. Clemens needs more than half a season to learn his craft. But what he has shown signs of...is having the necessary intangibles to get to that level.

Pennington has been fluttering balls for years....He's had his chance....time to trim the fat.
