He's not coming here and the Jets are not going after him. The Jets have other things on their agenda - an edge rusher, ILB now that Vilma is gone, the right side of the OL. There is no reason to spend $50-60 million on a WR. Plus, why would Moss come here after what he had last year. The unsettled QB situation is enough to keep him far far away. He wants a ring.
I wouldn't have any issues. We have the cap room and if we are going to throw money around we might as well go after him. We get our OLB in the draft, we hopefully got our LG (Faneca), and we have a sudden surplus on the DL. There are no CBs I can name I would rather put that money towards.
Can we stop with doing things just to tweak the patriots. I'm all for giving them the finger every chance we get, but not at the expense of planning and making sensible decisions. I hate the pats as much as anyone but i think we're losing sight of the big picture. The goal is the Super Bowl, not having bill belichek waking up in the middle of the night wondering how the jets got the best of him. Even though a part of me loves that notion.:breakdance:
People within the Cowboys' organization have characterized a run at Randy Moss as unlikely, according to the Dallas Morning News. The DMN believes Dallas is much more likely to pursue free agent Javon Walker. We're speculating, but the Jets could make a push for Moss this weekend.Source: Dallas Morning News UH OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH:rofl:
That pretty much sums it up for me, I just want him off the Pats, however I would love for Moss to come to New York.
Last year was the year to get Moss. With Moss and Kendall we would have made the playoffs. We lost a lot of close games where they would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, we can't rewind history, and I don't think Moss would come here regardless of our offer at this point. The "experts" don't view us as a contender. However, I'm confident that we'll continue our trend of making the playoffs in even years and missing it in odd years. But that will be accomplished without Moss unfortunately.
The Dallas Morning News should stick to covering why J Kidd was benched last night not speculating on what the Jets could do.
No shot he comes here. When it's all said and done I think he'll be back in New England. Wouldn't rule out Jacksonville either.
ood for thought.. POSTED 10:18 p.m. EST, February 29, 2008 TANNENBAUM EVASIVE ON MOSS INTEREST We've been fascinated of late by the possibility that the New York Jets might make a play for Patriots receiver Randy Moss. The net impact could be huge; the Pats would lose a field-stretching difference-maker who helped fuel the greatest offense ever, and the Jets would pair him with college teammate Chad Pennington. On Friday, Jets G.M. Mike Tannenbaum was asked whether the team is interested in Moss. Here's what Tannenbaum said: "Obviously he did a lot of great things up in New England, [a record] 23 touchdowns. We are going to just keep working our plan here, so let's just see what happens. Right now, we're proceeding with the plan that we have and we'll see what happens." Hmmm. It's not a yes, it's not a no, and it's not a maybe. It's simply not an answer at all. Then again, it could be that the Jets simply aren't interested but that they want to make the Pats nervous.
