Not that big of a rogers fan. If he is lazy in the 4-3. I really don't think he will like a job where his main objective is to take on two linemen. I would go for picks.
Awesome deal by the Jets...Rogers may get knocked on for being an underachiever but he puts far more effort into playing then Robertson does. Both are ideal 4-3 DTs but Rogers can succeed more at being a 3-4 NT. I dont know if that would happen though, I would think Denver would rather get Rogers than Robertson.
I don't think there's any way the Jets give up Robertson and a second round pick to get Rogers, even if they get one for Vilma. That would mean Robertson and Vilma for Rogers, which is just absurd.
You obviously have to make that move, but I don't believe it. I read on JI a few days ago that some fan started this rumor, and now PFT is picking up on it. It could be legit, but I doubt it.
Surprised to see this on Rotoworld this morning... Profootballtalk.com reports the Jets, Lions, and Broncos are discussing a three-way trade that would send DT Dewayne Robertson to Denver, NT Shaun Rogers to New York, and DB Domonique Foxworth and a second-round draft choice to Detroit. What is this, the NBA? A three-way deal, especially involving players of this magnitude, would be unprecedented in the NFL. Still, each team would be getting a piece it desperately needs. We'll have to see how salary situations unfold and whether Detroit can work Jonathan Vilma into the blockbuster. How many times is this going to be posted? What do we think? I think all three players in this deal are mediocre at best...but whatever.
Yes, especially considering the 3-way deal that sent Cornelius Bennett to Buffalo and Eric Dickerson to Indy
Sorry, I didn't see the other thread (actually I saw the title of it, but thought that was a straight up DRob for Rodgers....didn't realize the three way was posted) Mods, please Merge...with my apologies for the double thread
Three way deal? wasnt it a three way deal between the Jets, Falcons and Broncos that sent John Abraham to the Falcons, a draft pick from the Broncos to the Jets (Mangold) and picks from the Falcons to the Broncos.I think we should do it again.
Honestly I would much prefer to toss Vilma to the Lions in this deal and come away with Roy Williams and a third round pick from Detroit...
Foxworth RFA? I remember, seeing somewhere, that Foxworth is a RFA and the Broncos tendered him with a 3rd rounder. Doesn?t this have any influence on this trade? What if someone offers Foxworth a deal?
To be honest, i'd eliminate the middle man and just trade Robertson to the Broncos for their 2nd round pick. Straight up. Chances are, we could pick up another 2nd-3rd draft pick for Vilma and I'd be extremely content with that outcome.
