Keith Rivers - if we end up trading down within the top half of the first round he's our man. SIMILIAR to VILMA but much more aggressive and more stout at the point of attack. Came into the combine 6'3" OVER 240 lbs. Check out his profile and watch the video on the right. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/keith-rivers?id=302
The draft is not a bad place to get a LB. Check out Marcus Howard of the UGA, MVP in the Sugar Bowl. Ran a 4.45 40 at the Combine. Big guy - 250 lbs. 6'2"
This can't be a serious post. If the Jets drafted Dan Connor with the 6th overall pick, the world would end.
I've never heard this before but i think that Steelers lb corps is sorta like Denvers running game , it makes u look better than u actually are.I mean Joey Porter looked great in it but looked lost in Miami, and James Harrison not saying that he isnt good but he literally came out of now where this year.
Harris replaced Vilma, but the question is who is playing next to Harris next year? I think that needs to be addressed in FA or Draft. I like Beau Bell, hes a thumper with not much range, which was Harris' scout grade during last years draft. Two run stuffing ILBs is a start. Add a NT better than DRob and we could have QB pressure from the middle which is always the ideal type of pressure.
Joey Porter and Kendrell Bell had to play in 4-3 bases after they left Pitt... It is actually possible for some players to fit better in a 3-4 than a 4-3. So if Bell is cheap I'd give him a whirl. Could always cut him after TC if he's done.
Miami played a 3-4 too. I wouldn't want Bell at all though...Steelers linebackers have sucked away from the Steelers and he's sucked balls since leaving there. Brandon Chillar might get a look from us.
dude, bring back the old avatar. that new chick looks like she got smashed in the side of the face by a sledgehammer.
