got this off rotoworld and didnt see this posted..

New Orleans and Jacksonville have been mentioned as two possible destinations for Jets LB Jonathan Vilma.

New Orleans is desperate for help and he would fit their scheme. Jacksonville has a better linebacker group, but could let Vilma flow to the ball well because of their massive defensive tackles.

Vilma will rape people if he goes to the Jags. Marcus Stroud and John Henderson are the best 4-3 tackle tandem in the game.

Jonathan Vilma for Reggie Bush, straight up, is not an even trade.

Reggie Bush is a short slot receiver with average hands. If he worked at it for the next five years, he could be a poor man's Wes Welker.

I want Vilma to succeed and it breaks my heart to see him go. Having said that Vilma would be a great fit in Jacksonville.

You've gone mad. You're talking about the best player I have ever watched at the college level. A poor man's Wes? He's 10x the player Washington is, and I love Leon, but Bush outclasses him on every level.

Thank you fenwyr. I don't see how this guy can call Reggie Bush a poor man's Wes Welker. That's just ridiculous.

Jcotch, if you read this: go to youtube and type search: 2005 USC vs Fresno St

I was at that game, and I watched Bush win the Heisman during that game. He is the best player I have EVER seen. EVER.

I'll have to check that out when I get home from work. Is that the game where he broke like 4 guys ankles with 1 move? He was heading to the sideline to his left, then one move, and 4 guys fall down. Sure, he can't pull that off against pros, but he's a guy that would be Kevin Faulk on steroids if he was used right.

Must I remind you that was a college game against an inferior opponent? Noone is arguing that Bush wasn't a great college player. Great college player YES, great NFL player NO.

Dude.. What you do in college, and what you do at the next level, are two different things.

Bush has not done anything to warrant all that hype he had around draft time. He plays slot more then he does at his normal position. I would not take Bush for JV, straight up, at this point in time.

He may have the potential to be something really special, but he needs to show it first. Until then, I agree with the poster who had the Welker reference.

He had a great rookie year followed by a poor second year. The 1 of the 1-2 punch went down for most of the season, so he wasn't use on kick or punt returns. He's not a 30+ carry north-south runner, and never will be. Nobody thought he would be coming in. He's a home run hitter. As much as I despise baseball, the analogy fits. He's a guy that goes 1-4 on the day, but the 1 scored 4 runs and won the game. He was the same at USC, but on a more obscene scale.

Give Bush 3-5 returns, 5-10 catches, and 15-20 runs a game and he changes everything. Line him up alone in the backfield every play, no.

You're right, it's not even. The Saints would be retarded to make this trade.

Inferior opponent? Fresno was winning the entire time. They gave USC a run for their money. Matt Leinart and the Trojans passing game was a non-factor. Lendale White was also un-effective.

Reggie Bush beat the Dogs by himself.

He just finished his second year in the Pros. He was drafted based on potential.

I love how a lot of guys say that D'brick Ferguson just needs time to "develop". He's not a bust or anything...

You can't call a guy a bust until his rookie contract runs out.

Bush is disgusting. If the Saints offered him to us for Vilma I'd crap my pants.

Yes they were an inferior opponent, just as most teams USC played that year were.

I never once called Regie Bush a bust, what I said was that he is not a great NFL player, which he is not..

Fresno was ranked 16th in the nation at the time, and they lost by 50-42...after giving up at least 130 yards rushing on a couple of broken plays that Reggie Bush turned into scores.

They weren't inferior. Bush is the only reason USC won.

You should try watching him play instead of looking at his legs, he breaks plenty of tackles, people like to exaggerate.
