    Jerry Jones is crazy!!!!!

Just heard Adam Shefter on NFL network say that there were discussions between The Cowboys and the Dolpins for the Dolphins to trade the number one pick to Dallas for both Dallas first round picks and MARION BARBER.How dumb is that? Deon Sanders called in and said that Jerry Jones has to be tested for drugs.I agree no way should anyone do this trade. There are some good running backs in this draft.Ray Rice has been very impressive so far.I havent seen Jonathan Stewart or Mendenhall yet, neither have I seen Felix Jones, but I dont care if DMC runs a 4.0 He is not worth two picks, let alone an additional player.

Well honestly, if jones is interested in that kind of a deal... Why don't we offer to take that off his hands since prior to today Mcfadden appeared to be falling to #6 and i wouldnt be surprised if he fell anyways expecially with the way Stewart and Mendenhall are impressing lately...

If Jones is making that trade, he wants to know for sure that he is going to get McFadden.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the 4.27 the unofficial time? It seems like I remeber hearing that the official time was actually a 4.33.

On a side note, Chris Johnson is freakin fast! He tore Boise St. a new one in the bowl game they played. I wonder were he is currently projected to go?

4.27 was his official time, his 1st run. DMC's second run was 4.33.

Guys on this board are full of Sh*t and don't have there own mind ever since Mayock said Mendenhall is better that's all that is being said here but did you actually watch McFadden and Mendenhall play this season not just 1 game. I will go on RECORD right here right now DMC will by far be the better back and have the better career BOOK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

titans you have to chill a little bit man. I know there are people on here who go by just what guys like Kiper and Mayock say, but there are plenty of us who have our own opinions and do some scouting of our own. I don't claim to be one of the better guys on the board at this, but i have seen a fair share of the college games this season, and I really don't think Mcfadden will be this huge star in the pro game, I think he will be much in the mold that Reggie Bush is right now. He will be good, and has big-time gamebreaking ability, but he wont be this consistent all-pro who will be a first ballot HOF guy. Also you should know that there are some people on this board who are hard-core into the scouting and I actually think have become better at it than some pro scouts... and I trust their opinions more so than the so-called experts.

Chris Johnson also played in a mid-major conference and weighs about 15 less than McFadden.

Speed isn't the only reason why McFadden is ranked higher than Chris Johnson.

Mendenhall and Stewart are also better running back prospects than ECU's Johnson.

    McFadden's official time is a 4.33

He is not anything near Adrian Peterson, more of a Reggie Bush, but not as good a bush was... he is a HR threat, but the college game is slower and weaker than the NFL- that needs to be kept in mind.

McFadden will have a good career, but he is not this phenomenon that he has been portrayed to be, and now with everyone watching more tape and getting more analytical of the prospects, experts have realized what this kid truly is.

exactly I agree completely with Ndmick, my main impression of Mcfadden is that he runs past people and around them, he doesnt find a way to pick up those extra yards by churning his legs, like stewart and Mendenhall. Honestly I don't think we should be drafting any of them, and in my eyes Mcfadden is the weakest pro prospect, since Mendenhall is a big back with a more bruising style of running, and he only ran officially 4 hundreths of a second slower than Mcfadden.

The thing with McFadden is that he also has growth potential that Bush never had. He's got a bigger frame and with some NFL conditioning, he could become a more well rounded back. I see him as more of a boom/bust type than Mendenhall and Stewart (who seem like safer picks), but also with a higher ceiling.

As far as relating to the Jets goes, don't forget that McFadden was a big gadget player at Arkansas; the FO may like that. Just something to think about.

In high school, McFadden returned kicks and punts, started at quarterback, and also played a lot of defensive back.

He was labeled an athlete by many recruiting websites and college coaches, but Arkansas' coach at the time, Houston Nutt, saw McFadden as a tailback. McFadden committed, and Nutt build an entire offensive system around him.

He's an amazing talent that hasn't even come close to the peak of his overally ability.

Exactly what I'm saying. The guy's got the most natural talent, ability, and potential of anyone I've seen in the draft in a while. For any weak points in his game, there seems to be a possible fix (unlike with Bush, where his size issue can't be fixed). However, he seems less likely to be able to step in on day 1 and carry the whole workload than Guys like Mendenhall and Stewart. He's gonna need a good coaching staff in order for him to fulfill his vast potential. If he does though, he'll be tremendous on the next level.

Totally agree he gets no credit for breaking tackles and that killer stiff arm some of you are going to very surprised with his success on the pro level he can definately run between the tackles.
