so this isn't really anything new but its no secret hall wants out of Atlanta. Clearly CB isn't a priority but if we could trade vilma to a 4-3 team and get a quality cb out of it, it could solidify our secondary for years. Don't know what his contract situation is, but my only concern would be his attitude. Any thoughts?

We'd have a pretty sweet defensive secondary if that happened. Plus I think D-Hall would be happy in NY. I think the big city media and fans here would keep his big mouth in check.

I would rather we keep Vilma one more year...get a big body in front of him at NT. Trade our #6 to Dallas, for their 2 first rounders. Trade the latter of those picks to ATL for Hall. Hall and a 1st round pick sounds good to me, but maybe its the Madden mentality taking over..

I'd rather just sign Samuel and keep Vilma, but I'd give Vilma & a 3rd.

I don't believe that Mangini would want Hall. He is a great CB, but the potential of him being a distraction is very high. JMHO.

i think he would be fine attitude wise once out of atlanta, but the issue is that he needs a new contract
this is why the giants likely wont trade for him....he will want just less than what samuel will be getting except we will be giving up picks and money....and if he did settle for a reasonable amount then he will likely hold out within a year or two
not a good idea for a team not guaranteed to turn it around, but a decent idea for the giants

If at all possible, I would much rather have Asante Samuel, but that's not a guarantee. If that falls through, why not? but I would rather give up a 3rd or 4th round pick for this guy. Not Vilma.

    No, no, not at all.

    Vilma + Samuel + 3rd round pick > Hall

Also, you guys think Hall is cheap? His salary isn't that low, it will be 4.2 next year, and then after that he is going to ask for a Nate Clements type extension.

Plus, I haven't even mentioned his attitude.....
