Just saw this on Sportscenter, I can see this happening. This would leave the FO with a tough decision, BPA or immediate need.

Mc Fadden falling to 6 would be the best thing to happen to the Jets in this draft.

At worst, we'd end up selecting the best RB with potential to be a great one. He instantly adds an element of excitement into an offense greatly lacking in that department. It seems doubtful he'd end up like Blair Thomas and would be the best back they've drafted since Freeman Mc Neil.

Alternatively, some other team will have Mc Fadden ranked near the top of their draft board. If the Jets can find one team willing to trade up to get him, they can fill multiple needs via the extra picks. To me it's a win-win.

Take McFadden. Go 6-10, fill the holes in the 09 offseason, be a great team in 09.

i will be doing cartwheels if the jets draft mcfadden at #6. Supplement that with either groves or cherilus in the second round and maybe crable in the third round, and that is one ridiculously good draft.

i have second thoughts when i think about mcfadden...there was all this hype and more with reggie bush and he didn't turn out like people thought he would...and we have many more needs....like OLB and some QB protection...so i would much rather have gholston but if mcfadden is what he seems to be then this could be a very new beginning for the jets

I think we can get a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round just as good at half the cap value. I can almost guarantee the Jets don't take him especially when our Dline and Oline are as bad as they are.

Plug holes in FA and then draft McFadden if he's there. You don't pass on players like McFadden when they're available.

The Jets are not in any position to draft for need. They are one of the bottom 5 or 10 teams in the league and absolutely need to take the best player at #6 on their draft board.

Round 2 the Jets can be more selective. Take McFadden (if available) in the first round and Groves in round 2 and I'll be happy.

I don't think he will be the best available at #6. Alot of draft guys don't have him as the top RB. EVERYONE had Peterson as #1 last year.

i dont think our FO is high on McFadden... i believe we'll be going with a defensive player with our top pick.

I've seen 1 guy without him as their #1. Mind you, he's a guy who I respect (Mayock), but he's absolutely a top 6 talent.

Running back isn't that important of a position, but I don't think anyone will agree with me.

I like the option of trading to someone that wants McFadden a lot more enticing than actually picking him.

Same here although I would be more receptive if we at least fix our oline completely through FA, because we don't need just a playmaker but a playmaker that will impact us in the short and long run, and I feel if we don't at least fix our oline we are wasting picks on a position with a short shelf life

i've only seen one guy who doesn't have him as their top Rb and that's mayock. the knock on mcfadden is his small lower body and how he can't really run after contact all that well. But this guy has way too much talent to let him slip by. He is a complete home run threat with an incredible burst. If you watch clips of him, he goes into the hole and explodes down the field before anybody knows what's going on. I really think that he's the BPA at #6. He is much more of a talent than other people who could be there, such as gholston or sedrick ellis. McFadden is a playmaker, something the jets severely lack on offense.

If he falls to #6 keep him, and trade TJ.
