    I'm not sure Mangini has put all his eggs in one basket - he's talking about an open training camp battle between KC and Chad... but that doesn't alter the fact that you are right about the desperate need to upgrade the o-line so that whoever ends up playing is under center and not under d-linemen.

    That's part of why I feel we need to take a LT. Good ones either get franchised or resigned and 2 are going to be rated much higher than the others, Long and Clady. Clady might be the threat that Brick needs. Either way it leaves us with good bookend tackles.

    actually if merling wasnt a good fit for the 3-4 then why is mangini so interested in him....i talked him this past saturday at the Coach of the year clinic in Windsor, Ct and that was the first name he mentioned when i asked him who he was lookin at in the draft

    I'll bet the house that Clemens starts over ______ next season , open competition or not.

    I thought Merling would be a great fit, and he'll get bigger.
