I think that the Dolphins are far too poorly to worry about as an enemy until they manage to rise up and challenge their next defeat at our NYJ's hands. Til that happens they are simply unworthy.

You can't begrudge a football "doctor" like Parcells, taking care of a sick-to-death patient. He's got to earn his daily bread, just like the rest of us. Whether the patient survives or not is still up for grabs.

So give him a "good luck" and sharpn those NYJ knives for the next time. I'm not worried about the Dolphins. There's other folks (too many) to keep us away nights as it is.

Faneca is a great Linemen but you wonder how long he has left i mean he aint that old at 31 but will he keep playing at a caliber level cause indeed i saw D-Rob own Faneca but against the Rush he was shoving big D-Rob backwards like a little girl so i wouldnt hate the signing at all.

Hmmm...I was not too high on signing Faneca, but the FA O-lineman are falling quickly, and I want us to spend money on at least one very solid O-lineman. Now that Sean Locklear (RT) just resigned I think we should make a very strong run at either Faneca or Bell, and if we get Bell, maybe Flozell Adams, I don't want two 30+ Olineman with big new contracts on the team with other needs as well. Here is the Locklear link from espn. sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3257645

Born: 12/7/1976 New Orleans , LA - he'll be 32 when the season starts. Played a lot of football though, in 10 years he's missed 2 games and he's started all but 5 of his appearances.

He will be 31 when the season starts. 9 months younger than me. Boy do I feel old.

Sorry, I read that as 12th July, not 7th December. Stupid American date format.

Go look at Coleman's stats for last season and come back to tell us he wasn't worth picking up.

Parcells also recommended the safety we got from Dallas who improved our secondary.

Been on the Must-Get-Faneca band wagon since there were hints that he may not stay with the Steelers. Haven't changed my mind since.

Outside of the fact that all it takes to get this proven Pro-Bowler is money (sign him to a 2-4 year contract). Put him between Brick and Mangold and draft a DE-mauling RT on the first day (2nd round should still yield a quality prospect) and you would have the makings of one of the best units in the league for at least 2-3 years. By the time Faneca's production wanes, draft a replacement.

Picking up Faneca would put a smile (and improve their production) on Jones', Washington's, Penny's, LC's and the entire Defensive Unit's (because they get to rest more with sustained drives) faces.....and an ecstatic howl from the long-suffering Jets fans world-wide.

They have a bottle of medicine with "$44 million cap space" written on it. They have been told to administer it throughout the offseason and could make a surprisingly quick recovery...

If it makes you feel any better, the U.S. Military uses the same day/month/year format as you do.

He outplayed every DL on our team. The guy is rock solid and will probably be starting for us long after Ellis or D-Rob.

Honestly, I'd rather throw money at Bell that Faneca for age reasons. However, I would not in the least bit be disappointed if we nabbed Faneca instead.
