You still haven't admitted your wrong. Keep showing everyone on this board what a dope you are. Trying to argue what The national Football league goes by in ranking there stats. (total yardage) Again bring some facts to the table or be quiet. You should have listen to MRElectric29 alot sooner. Could have saved yourself from total embarrassment. (not thatn your not used to that)

The Raiders were 6th in yards, which is nice, until you take into account the facts that they were 4th in attempts and tied for 11th in yards per rush.

In actuality, the Raiders "strong" running game was more a result of their almost complete ineptitude in the passing game (31st in yards per game, 29th in passer rating).

The Raiders were 6th in rushing yards because their passing attack was so bad that they had to run more often than everyone else.

considering how you're wrong about everything, we can simply reverse this and arrive at the truth. What fun!

I wish I could say that the Jets were ranked 6th in rushing yards. New York had an awful passing attack too...I think they were ranked 25th? I don't remember though. The running game was equally as bad.

I believe Bear Bryant said it best by saying something like: "if you can run the ball effectively, you don't have to pass"

    This proves my point.

The Raiders won 4 games. They ran a lot (4th in attempts) for a good amount of yards (6th) but only mustered an OK average (11th) and a low amount of TD's (18th). And they fumbled 13 times (3rd). This is not a terribly effective running game. They just ran a lot to accumulate so many yards.

To answer the original post, no, the Fargas resigning does not impact McFadden.

The fact is Raiders were sucessful running the football enough that they were able to be 4th in attempts. IF they were getting three and outs from rushing the football, obviously they wouldn't be that high. Case in Point Raiders against dolphins only threw the ball like seven times, as they ran the ball for 295 yards. NOw why would you put the ball up when your destroying some team with your running game. Another point you run the football as much as the Raiders did. That means you get in alot of thirds and short. Alot of third and shorts is going to reduce your average yards per attempt(you understand or should i explain) SO right there explains why they were 11 in yards per rush.
The most important thing to a franchise QB is a running game. Jamarcus russell has that running game to lean on. That why raiders are in better shape, than Jets on offense . Get Russell some more weapons + better protection and look out.

Again you don't get the chance to have that many attempts, if your not running the ball sucessful. 11th in average is explain by alot of short yardage situations. (more of those and more your your yards per carry going to go down. Raiders low TD ratio is reflection of shaky QB play. (Qb first job is protecting the football)

Raiders are not drafting MCfadden or any RB early they have there running game with fargas and M Bush. Probbably draft a RB later formore depth. Raiders are set at RB, FB, TE and QB(money invested in jamarcus Russell) Oline and Wrs are where they are looking at on offense.

BTW Once Jamarcus Russell starts establishing himself, than your going to see a potent offense attack. Last year raiders were sucessfully with teams knowing they were going to try to run the football.
