In today?s Sun sentinel in s. FLA the Arlen Specter (R) had his interview with Roger Goodell and Goodell is Quoted as saying; "We were the ones that disclosed the Patriots illegal taping of the New York Jet?s Defensive signals in week one". That is a pile of crap! We busted them, mainly because Mangini knew of the practice of stealing the signals. It?s funny to see Goodell put a Bushian like spin on the events that occurred and made him react not disclose information of this incident. Impeach Goodell! LOL Now that they aren?t allowed to steal signals and the Giants showed how to frazzle Brady, let?s see what 08's record looks like. Randy can?t catch it if Brady can?t throw it!:jets:

I believe Mangini made the point after Spygate broke that the Jets had not been the main actors in the drama, but that NFL security had asked them to assist in the operation AFTER the game began.

If so, Goodell has not said enough on the issue, because the popular perception is still that the Jets were trying to catch the Patriots cheating. Think about it, if you're Eric Mangini going into that game the last thing on your mind is the Patriot's camera men. You're worried about the 22 guys on the field against you and you're definitely not spending a lot of time trying to figure out if the Pats are taping the game.

He wasn't saying that they EXPOSED it, he said they DISCLOSED it....which they did. The NFL made the decision to make the incident public, they disclosed it.
