Colorado Springs, Colorado....became a fan when I was 5 (superbowl 3). Had a life size Namath poster from the movie "the last rebel" on my wall 'til I was ten or eleven. Jets fans are few and far between here in Donkeys country, most are originally from ny/nj area. My brother lives in NJ, though, he was a phins fan growing up but he got better.
It's funny... I was born in Flushing, but I spent most of my childhood living upstate.... And I was under the impression that Yankee fans outnumbered Met fans like 10-1.... Then I moved back to Queens, and started making frequent trips out to the Island... Met fans are EVERYWHERE! It's been a hell of a revelation for me... I've always felt like I was rooting for the team nobody liked.... Now I'm just one of a million fans in my neighborhood
so far the most of us picked 'other', i live in tampa fl, but was born in elizabeth nj, im 33 i moved down here when i was 9
Thank you, it's very comforting that someone from Westchester does not actually consider themselves to be "upstate."
Out of the 'Others' from my count of individual responses, these are where people originally hailed from, or have a connection to: New Jersey: 4 Long Island: 3 Manhattan: 2 Queens: 2 Westchester/Upstate: 6 Staten Island: 1
Born and raised in Toms River, NJ but now living in Little Egg NJ which is further South and a combination of Eagles, Giants, and Jets Fans.
