I voted other because I live in Miami, but I'm originally from Uptown Manhattan in a place called Washington Heights. I was born in Roosevelt hospital. After many, many years here in Miami my wife, kids, and I will more than likely be going back to my hometown of NY for good at the end of August. I might go to the Bronx for a little while because the majority of my family now lives there, but that's just for a little while. My family and i will more than likely eventually end up in Yonkers or New Jersey, because we want to live somewhere that's a little bit more slower than the hustle, and bustle of the city.

If somebody does something like this on a Giants board, I would love to see the results. My guess is that they'll have a huge fan base from Jersey as well. Great thread by the way.

I feel like if this thread were done again, those "displaced" NY/NJ people should vote for where they originally hailed from...

We've got a huge number of people voting other because they lived in Jersey, or Queens or LI but then moved South....

One piece of advise though, if you do it don't combine the boroughs.

    Example:

    Manh.
    Bronx
    queens
    Staten
    brooklyn
    Long island
NY state anywhere in NY not including the 5 boroughs or long Island
    New Jersey
    Conn.
Other: for fans not originally from NY

So ignore those who lived upstate. They pay all the taxes, yet are pissed on by "real" New Yorkers..

No, not at all. That's why i put NY state not including the 5 boroughs or Long Island. Upstate New Yorkers would fall under that category.

Not from what I've seen... Very, very, very Mets in Queens.... Obviously Shea is a big part of that....

I see what you mean. I have a good friend from queens, now resides here in south fla. who is a big Mets/Giants fan. What about baseball in Long island, is it split or do they mostly root for the mets do to it's proximity? I ask because i never really spent a lot of time in queens or Long Island. Just curious to know.
