DaJuan Morgan higher than Kenny Phillips???

Lawrence Jackson higher than Merling and Campbell?

    Manningham as the #1 reciever?

I don't agree with a lot of these.

There are a lot of surprises:

    Henne ahead of Brohm
Jenkins only #4 CB and no Rodgers-Cromartie or Cason in the top 5
    DaJuan Morgan ahead of Philips

I agree, quite a few surprises, some we'd more easily dismiss out of hand if we didn't know Mayock is a serious draftnik who looks at a ton of film and really does his homework

Doesn't mean he's right {I disagree with a few}, but this is coming from a reputable guy, that's what makes it interesting

Cason isn't top 10, let alone top 5.

I was more surprised that Brandon Flowers was so high

Kenny Phillips is overrated because he goes to the U. Don't get me wrong, he's a talented safety, but he's way over-hyped because of his school's rep.

I like Rashard Mendenhall more than any other running back in this draft class too. He reminds me a lot of Ronnie Brown. Darren McFadden might be the most talented RIGHT NOW, but Mendenhall has much better upside.

I don't agree with Mayock's wideout rankings...especially with James Hardy not listed in his top 5.

Rogers-Cromartie shouldn't be in the top 5 because of the talent he played against at the college level. I know he had a GREAT Senior Bowl, but that's ONE game. He still has to prove that he has elite speed to move into the top 5.

After the combine is when the REAL rankings will come out.

Did you think Cherilus is too high or too low? Seems about right to me. A solid future RT in the league.

Adrian Peterson mixed with Eric Dickerson (...without the "angry runner mentality") and then I see a lot of Chris Brown of the Titans, which could be a bad thing. It's just the way the he runs with the ball that reminds me of them. He's got that second gear that other guys don't have. Dickerson ran with a mean streak and had a combination of nice moves...like Peterson. I used the Chris Brown comparison because McFadden runs high, and is pretty tall for a running back, just like Brown. It almost looks easy sometimes the way Peterson and Dickerson just run through defenses. McFadden runs hard and is extremely fast, but he's not an angry runner.

He is still the best safety in the draft...easily.

Very weak safety class this year.

I think DaJaun Morgan, Reggie Smith, and Kenny Phillips are all about even right now. The combine will decide who is the best. Smith SHOULD play safety in the NFL, but he's listed as a DB-tweener: Corner/Safety.

I've known about Phillips since Miami started recruiting to be the NEXT Sean Taylor, and he never really lived up to that hype. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill at the U. He's a good athlete with great size...and he can hit, I just think he's a little over-hyped because their really isn't a standout safety, and everyone wants him to be that guy. There's talent available when you look at some of the names:

DeCoud CAL, Smith OKLA, Phillips The U, Morgan NCST, Zbikowski ND, Griffin TX, and Steltz LSU.

Tyrell Johnson out of Arkansas State is a big time sleeper at safety. Also, if Dwight Lowery from San Jose State switches from CB to S, he'll be a steal for someone on day 2.

2nd/3rd. Certainly not behind Williams or Otah. Clady and Cherilus seemed locked together and I believe will go quite closely.

Uncoachable. You get guys coming into the league, either out right burners, bulldozers or slashers. Very rarely do we get players that run very quickly and then some.
As an ex D player they were the worst RBs to play against , making would be tacklers look altogether stupid.

I disagree, Otah has more upside than any offensive linemen in the draft, and Cherilus isn't much of a pass blocker and couldn't play left tackle in the pros, (he couldn't really play LT in college) Williams is athletic enough and a good enough pass blocker to play LT.

Teams don't normally take right tackles until the late first.
