or does it seem way too quiet at the Jets camp? Nothing has been done except the hiring of Callahan. Sutton is still around for reasons beyond reason...I'm not feelin' it.

I have a sneaking suspicion we are biding our time on the Rob Ryan situation...letting it seem as we have no further interest. If Davis ends up hiring a new head coach, a veteran like Denny Green would presumably be able to bring in his own staff.

It's not just you because, at the very least, it's just us. I can understand not hearing anything on a possible F/A, but not even a rumor? You'd at least expect something on some coaching moves... replacing Mike Westhoff for one (unless it's been decided we're going to wait for his return, in which case I'd welcome that news), but nothing!

There ain't much going on and it's killing me.

Rob Ryan is staying in Oakland, the problems between Kiffin and Davis are over Ryan and Davis's insistence on keeping him against the wishes of his HC. HCs dont get to pick their own staff in Oakland. The best thing the Jets could hope for is that Kiffen somehow wins the power struggle and gets to pick his coaches, which has to be considered unlikely at best.

Other than a possible DC move, what are you guys expecting to hear at this time? With FA still almost a month away it is quiet all over the NFL right now.

I was thinking last year it took a little while to hear about any movments and it probally will be the same this year. Here's one thing you can take to the bank , if they squander the off-season again , its curtains for this coaching staff . Then again if woody sits tight and we have to slug through a 4th year of ineptitude then we have an ownership issue!!!

We should look elsewhere. As much as I like Ryan, he aint going anywhere. Kiffin stay, Ryan is the D coordinator. Kiffin gets fired - Ryan is the D coordinator no matter who gets the HC job. Option # 3 is that Davis gives the HC job to Ryan. The only way Ryan leaves is if Al Davis suddenly passes away.

Exactly. When you don't make the playoffs you forget the off season really doesn't begin for another month after we're done. Not too much they can do right now except their homework (R&D?), which hopefully they are doing.

Dude, we could have overhauled the entire CS by now and we still would not have heard anything.

Free Agency begins in March. The scouting combine is in three weeks. The Super Bowl was only 4 days ago. What exactly are you looking for?

Usually it's always quiet when it comes to the Jets. That means everything is great and they don't see any issues.

The Jets are still keeping their eye on this. There is no such thing as a sure bet in Oakland with Al Davis in charge.

Sometimes....It's better to add-on & not subtract. Keeping Sutton, keeps continuity...which is a plus. Now bringing somebody aboard to help Sutton is also a plus. That's what Jet's' did on offensive side of ball with the signing of Callahan to assist with the Jets' weakkest unit...which is the offense & OL.
