I was watching this show for over 25 years but I stopped lastyear. Bob " baseball" Costas and Dan the " Bafoon" Marino ruined it for me. Besides, not having it in HD bummed me out. Thanks for the all those great years Len and Nick and good riddance Bob and Dan.

Similar to my thoughts . I have a problem with a non-football guy talking about football. Like Joe Buck (God Id love to crush his head). Also its not accessable to a lot of NFL fans on HBO. Dan Marino actually become sort of likable on that show for me better on a chair then on the field!

It won't be off the air for long. It's owned by NFL films, so I highly expect it to be on the NFL network next season.

Personally what ruined it for me was Cris Carter. Half the time I can't understand what the hell he is saying, the other half he just repeats what Marino is saying.

I loved this show when it was Nick/Len... I never saw it with Bob/Dan. It had a long run though. Nothing stands forever.

Nick and Len were the best, even when they added Collinsworth it wasn't terrible- after that, the show went downhill.

It was all about bashing the Jets and blowing the Pats.

I wonder if it got canceled because Walsh has all the tapes of Cris Carter's "comeback"

Surprise, surprise, the Dolphins collapse, making Dan Marino into an unbearable buffoon overnight and the show gets cancelled.

BTW, the best analyst on the show was Chris Collinsworth in my opinion, and he's the only one I'll miss. He was also the only one who gave the Jets an even glance each week.

I'm with you guys, I used to love that show. They ruined it by getting away from the highlights and making it too much about the studio hosts. I can't stand anybody on there and in recent years I couldn't sit through all their ego stroking bullshit just to see a few minutes of highlights.

I think back when you couldn't see all the games on a Sunday it served more of a purpose. Especially when it first came on, the Jet home games were still being blacked out at that time, so the only way to see what I had listened to was to watch "Inside The NFL".

My money is on NBC. Football Night in America has just not caught on the way NBC had hoped, with numerous format changes. The hosts on that show are many of the same people as on Inside the NFL, and Peter King is the insider segment host on both shows.

NFL Network is a possibility, since the NFL owns the show and the network, the negotiation should be easy.

I'm willing to bet money that it'll be on the NFL Network.

Does that silly version with the studio lights off in honor of Earth Week count as a format change?

Nick and Len were on for years , from the 80's which were the best years.......when they added more hosts it sucked.

My favorite show was NFL GAME of THE WEEK (from the late 70's into the 80's)......30 minute recap of the best game of the week, narrated by Harry Kalas, the best voice in Football. Was on Channel 11 in New York

Yes, that was later incorporated into Inside the NFL, that game would have a lot longer highlights than the others. I still like to hear Harry Kalas narrate the highlights, that's the only reason I'd stick with the show in recent years. Takes me back to being a kid.
