It looks like Nick Saban is going to have the nation's top recruiting class at Alabama. Also, the nation's top recruit Terrelle Pryor will NOT sign a LOI today. He still has to decide between Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=3233483 Law enforcement: Third party involved in recruiting gone bad National Signing DayFERNLEY, Nev. -- A third party was allegedly involved in the recruiting gone bad of Fernley High School offensive lineman Kevin Hart, the Lyon County sheriff's office said. Hart, in a report taken Saturday by deputies, claims someone calling himself Kevin Riley represented himself as a recruiter -- a middle man to big-time college football programs -- and led the 6-foot-5, 290-pounder and his family to believe there were scholarship offers available when there were none. Deputy Dan Lynch said the report alleges a crime of obtaining money under false pretenses, though finding a suspect could be difficult. "It's an ongoing investigation but we have no suspect at this point and no info to identify a suspect," Lynch told the Reno Gazette-Journal. Lynch took statements from Hart and Fernley coach Mark Hodges at the school Saturday, a day after Hart verbally committed to California during a school assembly that had Hart's father, Richard, holding back tears. Lynch declined to say how much money the Hart family paid Riley, or how the purported recruiter kept in contact with Hart and Hodges. Hart said at the announcement ceremony Friday that he talked many times with Cal head coach Jeff Tedford and that "personal experience" led to his decision to choose the Golden Bears over Oregon. But it appears he and his family may have been misled. Also Tuesday, the Lyon County School District said an internal investigation showed none of the universities once thought to have pursued Hart were involved. "Although only in a preliminary stage, the district's investigation to date has been unable to verify that Kevin Hart was ever offered an athletic scholarship or letter of intent to play football," district administrators said in a written statement. The district issued the statement the day before high school recruits around the country sign letters of intent, committing to college programs. "The district understands the importance of the National Letter of Intent signing date to these fine institutions and their football programs and issues this statement in order to clear up any concerns prospective recruits to those universities might have as a result of the events that have unfolded at Fernley High School since last Friday," the statement said. I guess he was under the impression that Oregon and UCAL were going after him and he said he was going to UCAL, but they didnt offer him a free ride! haha
My Bulldogs probably had the best recruiting class out of any mid-major program besides BYU. Fresno is going to start spitting out big-time NFL talent again next season and beyond...TE Bear Pascoe and QB Tommy Brandstater are great prospects for next year's draft.
According to rivals, UCF had a better class, ranked 56th. Fresno 59th. Oh, and Southern Miss, another team from the inferior CUSA had the 38th best class with one 5*; two 4*, fourteen 3*. To be fair, scout has Fresno 59th, and UCF 65th... but Southern Miss at 50. but scout.com doesn't seem to realize there info is slightly off I'm just stirring the pot though.
The Pryor situation is going to be interesting... last night he was dead set on Ohio State but his father loves Penn State (especially their DC Tom Bradley) and the fact that he decided to wait a little longer is a huge step up for Penn State in this race. Where he goes has the potential to dictate the pace of the entire Big Ten for the next 3-4 years...
Yeah, I saw that Southern Miss had a really, really good class earlier tonight. Fresno State had a pair of twin brothers (4 star and 3 star) de-commit at the last second, which hurt their class ranking. I hope UCF keeps it up without Kevin Smith. Rivals is way better than Scout.
I think scout is awful too. De-committing brothers? Now that sucks, where did they jump ship to? Oh, and any idea if Fresno will play Evans at WR, instead of CB? or a mix of both? I know Oregon and Tenn. were looking at him at WR even though he's ranked as a CB. I was talking to my uncle, west coast guy, he thinks evans would have been bumped to a 4* if he committed to a bigger program. Amazing how things like that go.
Malik and Marquis Jackson were a "package" deal. Marquis didn't qualify academically, so Malik...who's the better of the two, signed with Southern Cal. I don't blame him either. Rashad Evans is supposed to compete for time as a true freshman at Fresno. He'll be playing offense...and he'll either play wideout, or the "slash" position. He is a hell of a player. I'm really excited about a dual threat QB commit Ebahn Feathers. He was CA's medium school player of the year with 48 Total TDS and over 4000 yards Total offense. He runs a 4.38 and can throw 75+ yards from one knee.
Miami nailed down a top 5 class today, bringing in basically the type of class that Miami should be getting. Mostly athletic kids from south florida, and some of the better defensive talent the country had to offer. I'm most excited about the fact that there are now some serious threats at the receiver position to go along with young QBs with actual potential. Not to mention the speed on defense is going to be freakish when these kids begin getting PT. Also, Rutgers locked down DC Jefferson. He's either going to be the QB to get Rutgers to the next level, or a massive bust. I'm a little disappointed that he won't start until after I've graduated, but I guess I can't really complain.
Miami's QB commit Jacory Harris had a lot of offensive weapons sign with him today...I think it's time for Miami to take the ACC back. Clemson will probably be their toughest competition.
i still dont get why pryor would even consider going to penn state, they dont have a real good offense around him, and he doesn't fit the system, if i was him i would have commited to michigan awhile ago.

Great kid, really nice and very intelligent. He is probably the best athlete to come out of my school. And there isn't whole lot of Easton kids playing D-1A football other than him, Ovid Goulbourne at WV and Jon Boyer at Temple.
Whether he comes or not they're going to go back to what they did with Michael Robinson in 2005 which was the variation of the Vince Young offense, which would actually be a perfect fit. The supporting cast is there but Morelli was such a shithead that couldn't get the ball out to Butler and co. Yes Derrick Williams is not the #1 player he came to college as, but the unit is very deep with Butler, Norwood, Williams, Golden and a great receiving TE in Quarless that Morelli refused to throw it to no matter how many times he got wide open. This kind of unit is perfect for a spread offense. Yes, this group is mostly upper classmen, but if Pryor comes then Penn State will land top WR's prospect for the next few years... why wouldn't they want to play with a physical freak at QB? As known his father loves the place and the coaching staff, and his only worry would be the offensive coaching staff is a little iffy, but the Galen Hall/Jay Paterno duo ran the spread very well 2 years ago and could continue to. Penn State is closer, it's a program that is a good, consistent quarterback away from being a national title contender, and I think it makes sense for him just as much as Ohio State and Michigan do.
