I don't see how that would have been the case. Esiason was not good in that game. The Bengals best skill position player that day was Ickey Woods and he wasn't all that great, either (20 carries for 79 yards).
Stanford Jennings could have won it just for his 93-yard kickoff return.
Otherwise, a defensive player would have won the award, especially being that if the Bengals won it would have been due to stopping the 49ers' final drive. David Fulcher and Reggie Williams played well that day for the Bengals defense.

Giants have to score again before the Pats, even if it's a FG.

Great defense! Good passrush, and Brady stands in, cool as the other side of the pillow.... But Dockery makes the play with help from Madison

    I can't help it... I'm a Jet/Met/Knicks fan... Whenever I openly root for/predict anything, the opposite happens

The Giants are showing us the blueprint. This is the pass rush we need to get at the Pats. I sincerely hope our CS & FO are taking notes.

Yeah? So what? I saw an Ichabod Crane-looking sumbitch wearing a Tyree jersey last summer while fishing in Point Pleasant. So there. I drink your milkshake! I drink it up.

It will take years to assemble enough talent for the Jets to have a legitimate pass-rush.

The Jets pass-rush in 2008 will be like the pass-rush in 2007 which was like the pass-rush in 2006.

If only you liked the Hockey and the Rangers your misery would be complete.

Well I hate both the Giants and Patriots. You won't see me somersaulting should the Pats lose. I don't like to live vicariously through other teams.

Hold on to the ball here!!! Seemed like it took Jacobs 2 minutes to even run it into the line there.
