The problem is, we could now have Mets/Red Sox and Giants/Pats championship games :eek:hmy:

I can't believe with that package the Mets landed Santana. Twins loused up this process so well that you think they were trying to fuck up.

Johan isn't a guarantee for a Mets World Series appearance. He helps though.

Maybe after resigning some top position players they didn't want to trade him to a team that could knock them out of the playoffs with him. If you ask me a smart move by the Twins.

O BTW when can I order my Santana Mets Authentic?

Yeah but they definitely could have gotten more if they'd traded when Hank Steinbrenner was foaming at the mouth.

Best news ever for Yankee and Sox fans. As well as fans of every other team in the AL. Now we can all hope he breaks down too.

Twins really didn't want him going to an AL team. Fortunately both the Sox and Yankees offered nothing in the end.

im gonna be the only yankee fan whho is disappointed we didnt get him? or am I the only one man enough to admit it....too many yankee fans downplaying johan and ballooning hughs and kennedy who have done exactly nothing in MLB as far as im concerned to this point....i hope youre all right and im wrong but im far from giddy about our rotation right now.......an old andy, a ping pong player and three kids? oh and a completely broken down worthless moose.....I dont get the mentality that "we certainly dont want him, but I pray to god the sox dont get him" makes no sense

You're kidding, right? We never wanted him. We only wanted for Boston not to get him. Now, good luck signing him and living with that 150 million dollar contract it will cost you. Oh, and pray every night he stays healthy while you're at it.

I'm really not disappointed a bit. Maybe he would have helped this year but after that I'm not all that sure. The fact the Yankees didn't give up as much as the Twins were asking is only a good thing.

How is that? Can't you believe that neither the Yankees or Red Sox ever wanted him but only wanted for the other not to get him? If you can't you need to take a lesson in reality.

first of all you can drop the condescending shit....secondly I understand the cat and mouse game...but if you think at no point neither the sox nor yanks ever wanted him at all then youre a bigger idiot than you like to come across as.....especially if the twins had pulled the trigger on that lesser sox package....do you really thik the sox wouldnt ave done that...the lester, crisp and 2 prospects? Learn how to post by stating oponions like they are opinions instead of fact- because none respects your opinion or cares what a 15 year old has to say........

The Yankees had totally dropped out by today. I think it's you that is the idiot. No, I know you are.
