I saw the thread on this before but he has officially been released. I live in the VA and people around here are furious about the move they all wanted hin for head coach. He is the best DC on the market this season and probably would have gotten a HC gig if he was let go earlier. He fell into our laps so I think we should grab him before someone else does.

Like I said in another thread, he ran the 4-3 in Washington. I don't know what he ran in Buffalo, but I doubt Mangini would want him.

They ranked eighth in total defense and fourth against the run. I don't care what he runs we ranked 18th in our 3-4. Keep Vilma and Robertson and switch back to a 4-3 and aquire players in the draft and FA to fill holes.

I think most of us would love that, but, realistically, it isn't going to happen...

As long as Mangini's in town, we'll be a 3-4 defense. Hopefully they'll make a move for a NT or a passrusher this offseason, after failing to do so in their first two...

Not worth it. We have already invested two years towards the main goal, nothing is breaking the cycle now. It will work out, even If we are still stuck with, Sutton.

I like the sound of that and I would take Williams in a second. The guy can flat out coach.

Mangini has Calahan--offensive guru..Add Williams or Ryan, and mangini and company might look like huge contenders. Still, Westhoff leaving is a monster size hole

I doubt Mangini would want anybody who has more experience then him. That is called the "Peters" Principle. You can do a google to find out how it works

Best defenses are 3-4 defenses. They prevent predictability against the better offenses. Brady and others trounces 4-3 defenses with his pases all day long. If we want to be an elite team the 3-4 is mandatory IMO. Get the players to fit our scheme, not change the coach and our system to match what we have.

Two years ago we ran the 4-3, we were 12th overall anad 2nd against the pass. Not to mention Jonathan Vilma led the league in tackles:)

Doesn't sound like the Jets have much interest. Jax and StL have been mentioned as having interest, no mention of the Jets. Seems to me like either Sutton is staying or Mangini has his eye on someone from the Pats staff..
