callahan cant hurt the radiers gave up 55 sacks in 2 years what did we give up 53 this year i think he is a vetern proven coach it cant set us back any worse
H'mm cannot even coach Nebraska & you call him an upgrade? His resume at least IMHO says otherwise sorry to say. To me just like the players we employ Callahan is just another medicore coach amonst many other medicore coaches out there
Callahan's first order of business will be to draft Jake Long. If he can bring Ferguson and Mangold to the next level, the Jets will be vastly improved with a Big 3 OL. All that will remains is to decide is which quarterback will start next season. An unproven quarterback or a quarterback who can't throw a 30 yrd pass and is made out of paper ats_suck:
...and therefore we won't be able to draft him because we beat Herm Edwards in the pathetic bowl in week 17. How do all you "I want the win against Herm more than the 3rd pick" guys feel now?
When a coach that has coached the best OL in football for multiple seasons replaces another coach that has coached the worst OL in football with two different teams, it is called an upgrade. Hard to imagine that even someone like you can't see that.
I'm all for it, I'm just worried that it could create a balance of power problem, sort of, like Callahan undermining Brian Schottenheimer or vice versa. I wouldn't mind giving Brian one more year as OC, but if our O-Line improves with Callahan and Schottenheimer repeats what he did this year, bye bye.
I feel great, because not only did we beat that sack of shit Herman Edwards, but we also are in position to take my favorite player in the draft. Vernon Gholston.
H'mm just think of this we hired a special coach for the Brick this past TC & you see what that did. Yes maybe Callahan is a upgrade of what we had this past year but how much of an upgrade is he? His resume says not much that is all I am saying. Most probably he came CHEAP which is why he was hired which would be the typical move for the NYJs
Like we rooted for our favorite football team and they won. And how did you feel while you were rooting against them?
His resume for the position he was hired for tells us he is a major upgrade. Whether that translates to an actual upgrade on the field remains to be seen, he is certainly going to need better talent than Wise had to work with. But basing it just on his resume it is a big time upgrade.
You mean his past resume as an assistant offensive coach when he coached the best offensive line in football, and then as a head coach, when he won the conference and had the best overall offense in the NFL? I know you hate everything the team does, but when something like this happens, you should atleast do the research and then wait until the team DOES hire someone mediocre.
Yeah, then Champ can call you back and say, "But 10Pennington10, I know what I said before, but I'm calling you using my new Comcast Digital Voice Service now!"
I like it, then also we are covering our bases if Shott does leave, not that I like Shott but it seems to be a bit tricky finding decent coaches for this team. ugggh, I was on the mangini train and fell off abruptly this season. Not because of the losses but because of the obvious inexperiance in coaching.
At least it will be easier for him to get a copy of the New York Times. Kudos to the first poster to get the reference.
language someone just said shit in a previous post,, I find this to be offensive and a personal attack... will this person be banned???
