Just on ESPN News. On the crawl under NFL. Bill Callahan hired by the Jets as Assistant Head Coach. That's all it said.

This better be as the assistant head coach and running game consultant.

I think this is excellent news.

Honestly, I'm not a Callahan fan. Not much of a Good Track record as a HC.....Maybe will be an OK assistant.

Oh no, you're right, he sucked as a head coach. But he was a very good line coach and coordinator. He knows the run game. At least as far as I remember. Very good hire. And remember he worked for the disfunctional Raiders.

Callahan will be an excellent addition and should be a big help to Schotty. His experience is nice to have on such an inexperienced staff.

I can't find anything about this anywhere though...

He was a very good line coach in Oakland. I like it.

Bad head coaches are usually good assistants (if not great assistants)

he got a raw deal in oakland and is a good offensive thinker. glad to have him here

I think he's a good addition. They'll probably announce he will also be coaching the OL as soon as Wise goes to Pitt.

ESPN just said he'll be in charge of the offense. Whats that mean for Schotty?

Yeah, I couldn't figure that out either.

Looks like somebody was rushing to get the scoop.
