http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/content/sports/dolphins/dolphins_chat_0116.html Nothing mind blowing just a possibility; being a Pennington fan I don't think I can support him if he is a Dolphin... thats the one team...
Pennington on the Dolphins, as I have said before, would be sickening. He would probably beat the Jets twice too and throw 3 bomb tds to do it. That is the Jets' luck.
The Phins are in the process of trying to find their QB of the future right now.... I've outlined many times why having Chad as an option during that process is a bad idea.... I'd let them take him in a heartbeat,...
I am too - depending on the value returned. But then, Parcells will ignore whichever player was drafted or signed before him, and start from scratch. I've heard him say on more than one occasion that any team has to begin with the QB position. So, the real question is: Whether or not he thinks John Beck is a good foundation. If not - and, I think there's a better than 50% chance the answer is "not" - he's drafting Matt Ryan with the first pick.
Pennington playing against the Jets D means he'd finally be able to show what he can do when he gets some time in the pocket.
Parcells is not going to bring Chad in to play for him. He much prefers an unknown with a strong arm that he can mold into a good QB to a wily vet. Ideally he'd like to have both, which is where Vinny fit in and where he tried to make Bledsoe fit.
This is more a result of the caliber of QBs that are available to be had this off season. Chad is going to get mentioned because he's among the better QBs that could possibly be available, which is probably why the Jets said they are going to keep him.
The sad thing is that it is not the luck, it is the fact. CP can throw the deep ball well enough. The problem is the CS and BS not calling the right plays.
I would take my chances on Chad going to Miami. Especially, if Parcells gave us their second round pick. That would be the first pick in the second round and it would be the equivalent of the 32nd pick in the draft. We would have to take the deal.
We traded Richard Todd for a #1 pick, sounded good at the time but it ended up to be shit, Ron Faurot. We'd have been better off keeping Todd.
