    Nah that is just plain hooey. The real reason is we have not gotten the quality/talented players/coaches/management/owner from 01/13/69 forward

    So it went downhill the very next day? Sad. I was also two when we won, so I have no memory of it. My first year was 1974, Riggins was my favorite player.

    Nice thread though, champ. For one day we can all celebrate this together. Something tells me we're going to pass those 54 years the Ranger fans waited. I now see little kids at the games and say "maybe the Jets will win one in their lifetime."

    You all do know that certain influential, ahem, "families" from the NYC area had a little pregame chat with Earl Morral about how unfortunate it would be for his wife and kids should several large bets with humongous odds somehow lose, don't you?

    My son who is now 37 & who I took to his 1st game at 7 says that he will NEVER/EVER see the NYJs win a SB in HIS lifetime. Really sad statement if you ask me

    You may think so but that is not the case. It is HHO & to think that a 37 year saying that is really scary since he is now being watching them since 4 or 5 & going to EVERY game for many years since he was 7. Also MY judgement is based strictly on talent & the ability of our players/CS/Gm & owner not just blind trust that seems to be prcticed by most on this forum. Maybe more assesment by those would yield the same kind of opinion I have at least for 08,09 & 10 at this time

    Hey, if it does go 50 years, maybe HBO will make one of those HBO specials on the Jets like they did the Red Sox & Cubs???

    If the Leafs or Jets ever win a title I will be a very happy man. Thank god for the Yankees or I would be very depressed right now:smile:

    watching the jets with broadway joe and then with noodle arm is like going from jessica simpson to rosie o'donnell.

    one is capable of turning heads while the other just turns stomachs.:rolleyes:
