I don't think any unbiased observer would argue NE has the best defense in the league. I'd say top 10 but not top 5. The offense is so much better than the rest of the NFL, though, that they probably are the greatest team ever. Certainly the best we've seen in a while.

and the game was in Indy. And the Colts have lost Freeney, Mathis, and both tackles since that game.
Mathis and the tackles are expected to play, but Freeney is on IR.

Indy hasn't had nearly as many impressive wins and they lost to the Patriots at home.

I know all that and I don't care. I am not convinced the Patriots are better than the Colts. If the Colts play the Patriots in the AFC title game and the Patriots win, then fine- the Patriots would convince me that they are better. Until then...

Until a moment ago I hadn't realized you started a SD-IND/NYG-DAL joint thread.

Was the DAL-NYG part of it necessary considering you were actually cognizant of my desire to start a thread specifically for that game?

Of course, I am too tired and buzzed to start it tonight and it's really not a big deal either way, but still a little weird there from you.

no, I actually started a thread for the Sunday games because we used the same thread for both Saturday games. I then saw your post about wanting to start a Cowboys thread but I couldn't change the title. You can look at the timestamps.

don't see why that makes a difference. If they went into Indy and won and didn't make a difference to you, it shouldn't make a difference if they win at home.

I think the Patriots are better than the Colts regardless of what happens. Of course, the Colts have to get there first.

I don't quite follow you here because I made that post last night. You started the Sunday games thread this morning.

It's no big deal. You may actually have helped me because now I don't need to go here tomorrow morning.
What I wanted to do was include a (who is going to win) poll in the Giants-Cowboys game thread. I would have set the poll to be closed at 4pm. (I'm not sure why there are prediction threads in the NFL forum considering there is a Crystal Ball forum and I'm also not sure why people are not setting the polls to close until after some of the games are decided- not a big deal, of course, but it's still a little odd.)
I was also going to include some historical information in the first post. I could still do the latter.

    The difference?

Regular season vs playoffs. It's a huge difference.

yes you did, but I didn't read it until about 12:50 AM.

I went back and read the whole thread from beginning to end and replied to all the posts I hadn't seen that warranted a reply.
