Owen Schmitt in the 5th round? You are kidding right? and who is Vilma Leon? To be honest none of your draft choices seem likelysame goes for your trades, you may be right on the obvious releases.Hicks was released even before the season ended.
You guys are jerks. Who cares if he wants to do mocks? This is the place for them.. They may not be the most realistic, but atleast he is having fun with these. I would rather look at stuff like this, then read half the stuff people post on these boards. A lot of it is just dumb and very lacking in intelligence. Only they truly believe in what they are saying, this guy knows it is just a mock. Which intern means he knows that most of these things would never see the light of day. Surely you people have better things to do then bash a guy for having a little fun during the most boring time in football related issues. Surely..
Trade Leon Washington? A great special teams player who also has a shiit load of potential as a runningback for years to come?
Come on dude... Trading Leon Washington?? Why on Earth would that happen. This isn't Madden. We can't have a 7th round pick backing up an inexperienced QB that might not even start next year. Also, I don't agree with trading Vilma, Pennington or Robertson. And why the hell would Detroit trade arguably their best player? This mock is almost identical to the last one you did give or take a few players.
the fact that you're already on your third is just sad and pathetic. The playoffs aren't even over yet... give it a break and get outta here
all of you need to cool down and give this guy a break you took the time to read it despite knowing it was his 3rd, then bitch about all the mocks he's done? keep 'em coming if only to shut a couple of these a-holes up
dylanjets, can I give you a few pointers on making mock offseasons? I normally throw these around when I post comments about your other mocks. - You can't trade too many players because it simply doesn't happen. It's not as easy as it is in Madden and player values are different. You could make a case for Vilma and Robertson and Pennington being traded, but it would unlikely that even ONE of those guys go. Personally, I'd like to keep them all around. Trade Leon Washington, our team MVP, special teams ace and game breaker on offense? Why would that benefit us? There needs to be better reason to trade guys. Just like Detroit isn't likely to trade one of their best players in Shaun Rogers. Also, it's a good idea to make alternatives to free agent signings, especially when you want to bring in an upper tier free agent like Suggs. It just adds to the "realisticness" of it. I notice that you have most of the rookies you drafted starting on your depth chart. Normally a team wouldn't have more than two or three opening as starters at most. Start them as a backups as rookies. ... Just some things to keep in mind when you make offseasons.
See?? That's all he needs is a little constructive criticism. No need to tear the guy down like a lot of others have been doing.
Guys - don't be dicks Dylan - quantity ≠ quality take some time to do research and think through everything, don' just churn em out.
