That play took forever to develop though. He had enough time to read a Harry Potter book back there. You can't expect someone to cover Moss for that long, and they probably didn't think they would have to either.

Yet another reason to draft somebody who can get at the Qb high this year. If we can't get to brady we will never beat the Pats.

Actually, I think Brady could have read The Lord of The Rings Trilogy.

I agree 100%. It would be nice to generate a pass rush without sending 8 players and having them all picked up.

We had good run blocking lines, the pass blocking was always a problem. There's no doubt Brady is better than Chad and w/ less talent will still do better but the Jets OLs were not better than NE's.

'01-'03 NE had Antowain Smith at Rb compared to Curtis. '04 Ne got dillon and the comparison becomes a little more fair. We had a better rushing year in '04 but our pass blocking was suspect. We had very good OLs, never gerat like NE has been the past few years and both OL's were comparable from '01-'04. Put Dillon on NE '01-'03 and their #s go up significantly.

Our Ol was a little overrated, they did a great job opening holes and Curtis was great that year but again they weren't nearly as good protectring the QBs and when we needed to run the ball against better teams those holes disappeared.

It's hard to fairly compare '01-'03 b/c of who was running the ball for NE. the NE Ol was alot better than their #s indicated.

Brady is the best QB of our era, period. That's the sad fact. If we're going to run out of town any QB who isn't as good as Brady, we might as well install a revolving door at Weeb Ewbank hall for the next 5-10 years.

He's also rapidly climbing the charts on the best EVER list, before he's done he may be #1.

Nobobdy has run anyone out of town. Chad had his run was injury prone when we had a solid team, has had two shoulder surgeries on the same arm and has not been the same QB since. The team is rebuilding and is a couple of years away. Chad is backup material and is way to costly for this team to keep simply because at his mediocre best it's simply not good enough at close to 5 Million per. The money would be better spent on a veteran back up and a starting guard.

Clemens may or may not be the answer but on this team can win at the same rate or better than Chad at less than 1/10th of the cost.

Chad's track record says he can win alot more than the 3 games the Jets won w/ KC at QB. We have talent, we are a few good moves away from being a playoff contender again. Teams get good and bad very quickly these days and as qucik as went went from 10 to 4 we can go back to 10 or more. We won't win that amount w/ KC as our QB, we can w/ Chad.

We don't want a good team, we want a great team.

Chad's track record with a bum shoulder is a lossing record since 05. He had a nice run against crappy teams that hadn't figured out how to defend our new O for part of last year. His track record for his entire career is one of injuries and seasons ending short of expectations. I know it's tough to move on but it's always better to do it a year to soon than a year to late. We should have moved on after 05 but his contract was prohibitive. Now that the cap hit is in the teams favor it's time.

He's had ONE bad season, in '05 he was 1-2 and if chrebet holkds onto a TD we are 2-1. Last year he led us to 10-6 and this year he struggled. That's ONE bad year, he deserves a chance to prove that was a fluke.
