Amen. That's why I can't understand why so many people were hyped about the potential of Rob Ryan coming here.
Rob Ryan is a 3-4 coach who was forced into the 4-3 by Al Davis. He knows Mangini and more importantly knows the system that Mangini wants to run. He's a firey players' coach who the defense could have gotten behind and would have been a great teacher for Harris.
just cause there no was talent there doesnt mean hes a bad coach. vince lombardi could have been our d coord this year we still wouldnt have stopped the run. hes a younger respected guy who knows how to run the 3-4 thought he might at least be on our radar.
Grantham is awful. The Browns are fairly similar to what the Jets were last year. A team that benefited from a soft schedule and a down division. Grantham's defense was, for the most part, awful, despite a decent defensive line and a shutdown corner in Leigh Bodden. He wouldn't be any kind of upgrade. -X-
