Gholston Staying in School

    Just heard on 1460 in Columbus, the OSU flagship station, that Vernon Gholston is coming back for his senior year. Not word on Laurnanitis yet.

    now we are looking at Laurinitis...and it was rumored that he too will probably go back to school as well.

    I echo that twice... Penn State has to deal with him for another year and the Jets just lost the perfect 3-4 OLB. Back to the drawing board...

    i really don?t have a good idea, what to do if JMac and Long are off the board and we don?t find a trade partner.

    If suggs hits the market, we have to get him.

    Actually, I just read on ESPN that Gholston is declaring for the draft: sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft08/news/story?id=3192411

    Hopefully this is true, because I think he is definitely someone we should target at #6.

    Any chance these guys aren't hearing what they want to hear in regards to their draft status? I live in Columbus and not a Buckeye fan but it seems that they are only great against their weak schedule and league and have been exposed against good competition.

    Conflicting story to what i just heard on their station as reported by the late afternoon hosts. If they are wrong I apologize.

    Quentin Groves in round 2 if Gholston stays in school, though if Gholston does stay, Groves might go late round 1 now...

    Now the million dollar question. What the hell do we do now with the 6?

    Yeah --- ESPN is reporting that Gholston has declared; "It's time to take care of my family. It's time to let my teammates shine," Gholston said. "They say I'm a second-rounder. But what I bring is versatility. At 265 pounds I can add or lose weight. I can be a rush end and a linebacker. One thing I've never had a problem doing is beating blockers."

    They have to declare by this coming Tuesday January 15th anyway.

    Malcolm Jenkins (CB) said he is going back to Ohio State for his senior year.
